    Healthcare Administrator/Receptionist

    Duties will include, but not be limited to:

    • Welcome and greet all visitors into the healthcare in a courteous manner
    • Answer all telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner
    • Direct calls promptly, efficiently and courteously
    • Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically to the relevant person timeously
    • Open, stamp and distribute all incoming mail appropriately daily
    • Ensure communication in the Healthcare facility is conducted in a professional manner
    • Check all required diaries for appointments, messages, instructions and convey to relevant departments / personnel daily
    • Prepare starter packs for new employees and assist with fingerprint registration when applicable 
    • Ensure all administrative duties relating to the efficient running of the Duty Station is completed accurately and timeously
    • Attend to all deliveries, queries, maintenance and sub-contractors entering the healthcare unit
    • Assist with billing and charge sheets
    • Collect payments from patients upon discharge when applicable 
    • Assist the admin team to ensure the professional running of the facility when required

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience within a similar role
    • Experience in hospital/medical environment advantageous
    • Administration qualification would be an advantage

    • Computer literate (Google Docs advantageous)

    Waiter

    Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Changing table linen as required and ensuring dirty or damaged linen is counted and exchanged for clean, usable items.
    • Cleaning and refilling cruet and condiment sets.
    • Setting tables to laid-down standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair.
    • Maintain designated areas to meet required hygiene standards

    Physiotherapist

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments
    • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans aligned to rehabilitation goals
    • Attend daily interdisciplinary team meetings

    • Advanced certifications or postgraduate qualifications advantageous

    Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    • To ensure that the kitchen is clean and tidy, equipment is clean and dustbins have been emptied
    • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans
    • Ensure fridges, windows and walls are clean at all times
    • Remove waste, placing it in designated pickup areas

    Locum Doctor

    Job Description

    • Faircape Health is extending our subacute care and rehabilitation services to one of our long-term healthcare facilities in Somerset West, Heritage Manor. We are catering to patients in need of short-term, long-term, dementia, respite, and palliative care within a secure and nurturing environment.
    • Our world-class care aims to bridge the gap between hospital and home. Our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) of leading healthcare professionals administers care in the most therapeutic environment possible and supports healing outcomes in all aspects.
    • We seek a dedicated (Locum) Doctor to join our team at Heritage Manor in Somerset West. This role will assist our team over the weekend, offering guaranteed weekend shifts, by prioritising patients’ medical stability and enhancing their rehabilitation progress. This role entails managing rehabilitation patients and addressing long-term geriatric needs, particularly focusing on recovery from various conditions such as post-surgery care, acute hospitalisation, stroke, total hip replacement, and dementia.
    • Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of experts in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social work, dietetics, and nursing staff to ensure a seamless transition to rehabilitation and safe discharge.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Upon patient admission, conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical conditions, including physical examinations, review of medical history, and diagnostic tests to develop appropriate care plans.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, including medication management, therapy, and other interventions aimed at improving health outcomes.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, social workers, and specialists, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of treatment.
    • Monitor patients' progress closely, evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, and make adjustments as necessary to optimise outcomes.
    • Provide patients and their families with information about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote health and prevent complications.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries on Healthware (electronic platform).
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the delivery of sub-acute care services, such as developing protocols, conducting research, and implementing best practices.
    • Provide urgent/emergency telephonic cover to the nursing staff in medical emergencies as needed, providing timely and appropriate medical interventions to stabilise patients' conditions and prevent further deterioration. No routine call-outs from home are required.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with specialists who refer patients in Somerset West.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)

    Experience and Knowledge

    • Proven post-community service
    • Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, or palliative care is beneficial.
    • Experience working within a multidisciplinary and nursing team environment advantageous.
