    Assistant Store Manager

    Purpose

    Support and assist the store manager in managing the daily operations of a mr price money cellular store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets and customer service standards are met and exceeded.                                                                                                                                                                                                               

    Key Responsibilities

    Stock Management:

    • Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes (stock counts, stock takes, stock loss action plans etc.) to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
    • Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
    • Assist with authorising write offs, breakages, recalls, OBF (out of box failures), cellular repairs and returns.          

    Sales Growth & Profitability:

    • Analyse sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.
    • Monitior, review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
    • Keep abreast of new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness. This may include: in-store marketing, competitor shopping. 
    • Drive credit, Insurance , Mobile and Cellular performance to achieve the agreed budget.

    Risk Management:

    • Assist the store manager to conduct compliance checks through defined processes (e.g. admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO reports, POS reports, health & safety standards, weekly hanger counts, security etc.) to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures. 

    Customer Experience Management:

    • Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes (through the execution of business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback, general housekeeping etc.) to meet customer service standards.

    Leadership & Development:

    • Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
    • Identify & drive training, coaching and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
    • Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.                                                                                                               

    Requirements

    • NQF level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent.
    • 3 Years' Experience in Retail (Management Experience Advantageous).
    • Understanding of Sales & Service Management.
    • Budgeting Skills.
    • Computer Literate.

    Store Manager

    Collections Team Leader (Night Shift)

    Purpose

    You will be responsible for leading a team of associates to minimize bad debt write off. Your key focus of this role will include motivating associates to achieve targets, assessing their performance, and providing support to management in the areas of recruitment and learning and development.

    • Effectively plan, lead and organize the Collection team to ensure individual and team targets and objectives are achieved.
    • Effectively communicates deadlines and targets to associates.

    Requirements

    Retoucher

    Purpose

    In this fast paced and progressive environment, you will be part of the marketing apparel production team where your role is to retouch and edit high end images coming through the studio from internal and external photographers.
    Your role would include the following:

    Purpose

    We are looking for a dynamic go-getter to chase Low Cost Pricing across the world through desk top sourcing/factory visits and at source . This person is going to assist in flying the price/ value flag and increasing the opening price point contributions their purpose is to delight the customer with well-priced product lines to take on the low LSM competitors.     Critical Path Management:

    • Oversee the critical path management up to handover to forwarder date  in order to ensure on time delivery of merchandise and correct product execution. Work closely with the merch team on finding proactive solutions to mitigate any delivery delay impact on the business. Partner with respective merchants in reacting to the trading environment in order to maximise sales  

    Supplier Management:

    • Build strategic supplier relationships and identify new partnerships for long term sustainability. Research and provide new vendor solutions in line with business requirements in order to contribute to the Company's profitability.  Research new supplier territories in order to ensure that we are sourcing competitively. Assist and guide new vendors in understanding of our requirements, policies and procedures     

    Procurement:

    • Drive low-cost sourcing against strategic KPI's for the division, both factory visits/ desk top sourcing as well as Trade shows.  Re-engineer product for lower costs where necessary while still maintaining required standards. Focus on opportunistic stock parcels to drive value.  Negotiate preferred payment terms with suppliers.

    Visual Merchandiser

    Purpose

    • Execute attractive visual displays throughout the store within the Visual merchandise standards set out by the Ops visual team to enhance the customer experience and maximize sales.                                                                                                                                             

    Key responsibilities

    Visual Merchandising:

    • Ensure Visual Guide & weekly windows BIL's (Business Instructional letter) are implemented onto the sales floor to enhance visual appearance by bringing in all aspects such as drive aisles, windows and sales floor fixtures with clear identification of product and price. Ensure all mentioned is as per Visual merchandise standards.

    In-store Visual Displays & Mannequins:

    • Responsible for all in-store marketing & visual material, signage, mannequins, etc.as well as dressing of mannequins as set out in the visual guidelines & BIL's. Ensure all are safely housed with easy accessibility and that the store has sufficient signage and price points.                  

    Communication:

    • Ensure all Visual Merchandise Guides, Windows, Drive Aisles and Promotions are viewed and instore images of completed tasks are sent to the Area Visual Co-ordinator. Responsible for establishing and creating a good working relationship between Support Centre Visual team and store and giving regular feedback to Operations Management.                      

    Promotions:

    • Ensure all promotions are implemented correctly demonstrating product, price, value offering, product intrinsic in the most visually attractive and easily identifiable manner for the customers.

    Sales & Customer Service:

    • Drive sales and basket size through engaging and serving the customer with product knowledge (incl. co-ordination, benefits, handling care etc.) and promoting add-ons.                                                                                                                                              

    Key requirements

    Education:

    • NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent.

    Experience:

    • Past experience in working in retail, first-hand experience with in-store merchandising

    Knowledge/ Skills:

    • Creative skills.
    • Communication skills.
