    Studio Manager: The Mix

    We are searching for a seasoned studio manager, with a #Gamechanger spirit, that will be part of the Digital & Media team of the business.

    You'll manage day to day design & resourcing across the studio team, allocating relevant creatives to campaigns based on capacity, requirements, skill set and budget. You will have autonomy to implement effective tools and processes, and ensure we are working smarter. You’ll be trusted to design and build the studio workflows from the ground up, working closely with Brand leads, Trade leads, Digital leads in South Africa, South Central Africa, East Africa & West Africa - who represent all areas of the business.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Studio manager with design and layout experience, as well as video editing, social media creative, programmatic digital creative (DCO), content production & creative direction.

     

    Summary of the role:

    • Collaborate with internal teams (both local and International) to create brand assets for use in print, social media and for e-commerce platforms across all brand portfolios for use within various markets
    • Print design (Including P.O.S)
    • OOH
    • Packaging
    • All digital media – incl. mailers, statics & video (editing & animation)
    • Present design proofs to trade representatives, digital & media team, or brand managers for approval
    • Brainstorm and execute all visual design stages from brief to concept, to final hand-over and go-live
    • Follow Brand Guidelines and/or adapt for the Sub-Saharan markets
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends
    • Time logging, project management and liaising with marketing teams through Mixologic

    Strategy

    • Keep up to date with the latest trends in digital industry and how they relate to content generation & production.
    • Be well versed in design tech & tools as well as be able to implement the required controls put in place to help us protect our brands.
    • Able to interpret the data provided by analytics platforms in order to optimise and provide actionable insights and recommendations for better content production
    • Attend training sessions and/or events as determined by your line manager
    • Attain and maintain any certifications as outlined by your line manager
    • Show casing the Mix work to the business – quarterly recaps

    Operations

    • End to end brief / project management
    • Liaising with stakeholders to understand brief / project needs
    • Understanding of the ad formats and targeting options offered by all major biddable platforms, how they are used to achieve brand objectives and how to implement them.
    • Receive briefs and allocate to designers / freelancers and ensure delivery of completed job
    • You will be required to manage and control studio budget for tools, licenses, freelancers etc.
    • Proofing and reviewing designs and checking documents before they are sent off
    • Assisting on the creative production side when needed and meeting with team members for feedback
    • Creating and implement monthly deadlines, project goals, expectations and workflows to ensure a smooth production process with on-time delivery
    • Manage cross-expertise resources on multiple projects and customers, updating key stakeholders on supply, progress and blockers.
    • Facilitating and leading continual planning processes with solid understanding of business requirements, timelines and quality assurance.
    • Solid depth of experience within an in-house marketing environment or large Marketing agency environment.

    Relationship Management

    • Maintain a sustainable positive relationship with internal & external teams, locally
    • Grow & nurture positive relationships in East Africa, West Africa & South-Central Africa
    • Reviewing feedback and taking positive steps to address concerns.
    • Attend brand meetings/events as and when required as well as effectively communicate over email, IM or telephonically when needed.
    • Post campaign analysis quarterly & annual business reviews – across brands

    Key Competencies and Experience

    • 5 years of proven experience as a designer or similar role
    • Project management frameworks, prioritization & resource allocation
    • Quality assurance – ability to anticipate & mitigate issues
    • Research & implementation across applicable design tools & tech – super user
    • Traffic management tools & tech
    • Experience with large brands and blue-chip accounts
    • Ensuring compliance on regulatory bodies in markets
    • Excellent art direction skills and must be able to take design direction
    • Willingness to travel on the Africa continent for production & creative immersion

    Upskilling

    • Assist with upskilling by hosting training sessions where required
    • Expand local skillsets by sharing best practices, trends & opportunities

    Brand libraries & tools

    • Ensure up to date Brand CI’s are implemented from global brand libraries
    • Work closely with creative content managers from each brand company (where applicable)

    CRM Practitioner

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assisting with development and implementation of CRM, digital marketing and data strategies.
    • Assisting with implementation and coordination of CRM and consumer-centric initiatives across different brands in SA and SSA markets.
    • Supporting brands/markets on CRM (recruitment/activation tactics) and eCommerce (conversion/eRetail strategy) initiatives.
    • Growing, activating, engaging and retaining new consumers aligned with global data-driven strategy.
    • Working with media and digital teams to interrogate consumer data in line with 1st and 2nd party data collection, analysis and strategy.
    • Integrating and utilising owned and 2nd and 3rd party data to aid retargeting and remarketing initiatives.
    • Understanding of consumer journeys and marketing automation, categorisation and segmentation of consumer data.
    • Keeping abreast of new digital marketing, data and CRM trends, and communicating results of market research studies, use cases and best practices.

    BRAND HOME MANAGEMENT

    Front Of House Management

    • Manage, Coach, develop and inspire the brand home front of house team for best-in-class execution and consumer experiences with clear guidelines and deliverables
    • Manage the day to day running and operational protocols of the Inverroche brand home
    • Implement the Brand Guidelines in all guests facing locations within the brand home
    • Develop and execute efficient ways of working to deliver industry leading service levels and execution standards
    • Implement a professional working schedule for the staff, with clear and efficient procedures for better ways of working
    • Drive internal culture to build excitement and look for ways to celebrate successes and company milestones
    • Ensure consistency between the Brand Home site with the brands image and positioning in the market

    • Manage the Brand Home shop and retails standards 
    • Implement a personalization & customization program for the Inverroche Brand Home Shop

    Community Leadership

    • Work with PRSA to identify and support key On-trade venues within the Stilbaai area to activate Inverroche. Inverroche to be the most visible brand in the Stilbaai area

    National Logistics Manager

    Job Purpose

    • Accountable for end-to-end logistics flow from:

    1. local logistics from main warehouses to secondary warehouses
    2. local logistics from warehouses to customers
    • Supports the Logistics strategy which will drive effective customer service, profitability, and logistics network optimization, by managing all service providers optimally.
    • Own the service level agreements both internally and externally with Logistics and Warehousing 3PLs

    • Accountable for Plan vs Budget/LE (Latest Estimate) reporting for IBT and Duties, standard costing lines, roadhaul, armed escorts, airfreights in volume and value (Cost-to-Serve) with accompanying commentary and corrective action plans.
