RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accurate collating of information pertaining to diesel utilization and consumption. Investigate and report on any discrepancies.
• Assist management with administrative duties as and when required.
• Accurate collating information pertaining to the loading, baling, cutting and clearing of ferrous scrap
• Compilation of tenders.
• Ensure Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure Health and Safety employee documentation and files are maintained.
• Assist management with attendance and timekeeping of employees and accurate recording thereof for payroll purposes.
• Collating all Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly Overtime on a weekly basis.
• Monthly ferrous/non-ferrous schedule of customers‘ tonnages.
• Verify accuracy of financial documents
• Reconciliations of accounts.
• Assist management with daily capturing of information.
• Check and verify information pertaining to production reports.
• Regularly communicates with internal stakeholders to ensure reports are maintained.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required.

• Internal: Production Team, Divisional Director, and Accounts Department, Outside Department
• External: Customers and Drivers

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• Minimum 3 – 5 Years administrative experience
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety rules is advantageous

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Quality control
• Attending breakdowns
• Troubleshooting fleet breakdowns
• Do planned and unplanned maintenance on the fleet

Qualifying experience:

• A Red Seal Diesel Mechanic Qualification
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification working experience
• Experience in truck and trailer maintenance
• Experience on Plant machinery will be an advantage
• Experience in Volvo and UD trucks will be an advantage
• Have a valid code 8 driver’s license and a reliable motor vehicle
