    ICE Intern - Durban

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Matric with Maths & Science
    • Diploma/N6 with trade test in Electrical light current /Instrumentation/Automation (Completed)
    • 12 Months Internship
    • Candidates need to provide their Academic Transcript with their CV’s

    Key Responsibilities

    • Basic computer literacy, i.e.: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Develop Reports and Maintenance Documentation
    • Review Electrical Drawings and update
    • Carry out project work.
    • Assist with R2S Projects
    • Support breakdown repair. (During Week and Weekend)
    • Support Restoration Activities (During Week and Weekend)
    • Assist artisans and technicians
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP’s) and One Point Lessons (OPL’s)
    • Carry out Calibration as per PPM
    • Update Network Drawings
    • Participate in delivering the continuous improvement program which involves internal audits, mock audits, project team involvement, involvement in WCM initiatives & the site SHE programs

    Africa Margin Optimization Analyst - La Lucia, Sandhurst

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    Savings

    • Track savings delivery and lead network tracking for key Non Material Supply Chain Cost (NMSCC) and product logic savings projects to help deliver the category savings targets
    • Portfolio Simplification

    Above the skin

    • Drive finished goods portfolio simplification through delisting and margin improvement using Polaris or pareto analysis and leveraging local business teams.

    Below the skin simplification

    • Ensure recipe, raw and packaging material portfolio simplification together with R&D teams through strategic delisting of FG and RM harmonization.
    • Benchmarking

    Internal

    • Conduct Unilever to Unilever value chain benchmarking by linking the counterpart teams to get insights and exchange of ideas.

    External

    • Engage external benchmarking service providers and lead the benchmarking exercise to gain insights and value chain cost comparisons with competitors and industry peers.

    Waste Reduction

    • Nothing Goes To Waste (NGTW)
    • Track and ensure delivery of the factory waste reduction strategy by engaging with factory teams on NGTW projects, helping unlock any hurdles faced by the teams.

    Business Waste (BW)

    • Track and ensure delivery of the business waste reduction strategy by engaging with planning, CSE and supply chain finance teams focusing on leading (inventory policy, innovation etc) and lagging (liquidation, reuse) BW avoidance actions

    Localization

    • Engage in the localization program by driving supply chain actions that ensure the successful landing of localization projects for RM, PM and FG

    Continuous Improvement Lead - La Lucia,

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the pipeline of continuous improvement and automation activity within hubs and identify new opportunities for optimisation and simplification
    • Actively engage in Global Strategy initiatives and lead local projects and process improvements
    • Lead end to end CI team delivery, including driving team performance and resourcing
    • Coordinate with in-market and global teams to identify opportunities to expand hub scope and create capacity for in-market teams
    • Identify transactional activity in markets for services that could be automated and centralised in the Hub
    • Accountable for measuring success of the automations and benefits realisations for the hub, and how that translates to time freed up and savings at market and hub level.
    • Collaborate with process leads and streamline workflows to remove low value activities
    • Own delivery and service level tracking of the Hub, acting as escalation point for issues
    • Share and leverage global best practice
    • Identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system
    • Collaborate with markets and understand the end-to-end implication of automations, in line with the global automation strategy.
    • Acting as a key member of the citizen development network, with the operational improvement leads from other regional hubs.

    • Owns portfolio positioning, sustainable growth strategy and strategy into action informed by real-time insights. Creates Purpose-led brand content for Innovations & top 10’s:
    • Crafts Brand Led content for BET, including all relevant assets for key touchpoints (including website/Product Experience pages)
    • UBER Selling Stories, Killer Demos and Sampling
    • Provide claims, search keywords, and creates sensorial content for product pages
    • Ensure product campaign, messages are integrated: Integrated into the content calendar (works with Content Manager/Operator Experience)
    • Map product messages with the different specific journey stages (works with Campaign & Automation Manager)
    • Sales enablement

    Experiences & Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of working experience in similar function in FMCG
    • Proven track record in Marketing, preferably in Brand & Portfolio management in Foodservice Industry
