    Credit Controller X3 - Fixed-Term


    Education:

    • Minimum of Matric, Credit Management / Bookkeeping /Financial qualification advantageous

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 - 5 years credit control experience

    Functional Competencies:

    • Knowledge of Full Function Credit Control
    • Knowledge of Accounts Receivables/Debit Orders /Bank Statements
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external departments
    • Good Interpersonal skills/Customer Service driven
    • Analytical and Problem solving skills
    • Sound numerical skills
    • Best suited to a friendly, organised person who works accurately and is able to handle pressure
    • Honest, trustworthy and ethical
    • Time management skills
    • Ability to work in a team
    • Ability to produce basic reports using Microsoft Office

    Key Performance Area: 

    Collections/Handovers;

    • Collections on outstanding accounts as per assigned aging
    • Following protocol in line with Standard Operating Procedures when dealing with different aging buckets
    • Meeting monthly collection targets and reducing portfolio risk
    • Ensure that all payment plans are adhered to
    • Escalation and assistance of account related queries (Billing/statements/Payments)
    • Ensure follow-ups are done on PTP's (Promise to pay) made on specific dates
    • Ensure all debit order returns are dealt with immediately and account payers are contacted to settle arrears and informed of rejection fee. First priority is to re-activate rejected debit order
    • Manage holds on all accounts (current to be removed/arrears to be added)
    • Ensure suspensions/Handover list are sent to Debtors Manager first to be checked and then campus
    • Ensure confirmation is received from campus when suspension and handover is complete
    • E-mails/Letters on overdue accounts must be sent at the appropriate time and in accordance with aging bucket
    • Detailed notes to be inserted for each account monthly as per assigned Age.Relevant contact information and debit order details if applicable must be confirmed.

    Administrations/Customer Service:

    • Credit balance investigations and updating status/notes on portal
    • Assisting with campus finance administration functions as and when required
    • Assisting and dealing with queries via FreshDesk (VC Assist) as and when required
    • Assisting with other adhoc task when required
    • Build sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders through open and interactive communication
    • Handle account payer/student queries or compliants and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives.

    Quality Management and Reporting:

    • This will include the evaluation of all other KPA (Key Performance Area)
    • Items such as quality of work, deadlines met and query handling will be checked
    • Quality of e-mails, calls and letters sent will also be evaluated
    • Information sent and response to campus team. Queries logged and resolved.

    Lecturer: Design Studies (Independent Contractor)

    Job Purpose:

    • Lecturer and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes.

    Minimum Qualification Requirements:

    • ​BA Honours (HEQSF 8) in: Graphic Design/ Visual Communication Design/ Information Design/ Interior Design/ Fashion Design/ Digital design/ Multimedia
    • A suitable BA Honours level Degree with Visual Studies, Visual Communication, Design Studies or a related theory module.

    Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

    • Limited practical experience needed in Graphic Design/ Visual Communication Design/ Information Design/ Interior or related Design fields.

    Recommended: Lecturing experience in Design Theory, Critical Studies or related theory module in the above-mentioned fields.

    Lecturer: Introduction To Research (Independent Contractor)

    Job Purpose:

    • Lecturer and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes.

    Minimum Qualification Requirements:

    Ideal:

    • Master's Degree that includes a research methodology subject with exposure to a range of research methodologies e.g., both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methodologies.
    • A research dissertation/project in the discipline of the programme on which the module is being offered and to which the lecturer will be assigned.

    Alternatively:

    • Honours Degree that includes a research methodology subject with exposure to a range of research methodologies e.g., both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methodologies and a research dissertation/project in the discipline of the programme on which the module is being offered and to which the lecturer will be assigned.
    • There should also be a generalised research methodology component on the candidate's undergraduate transcript.

    Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

    • Lecturing experience in research methods/quantitative techniques/research design and development of research models.
    • Experience in and understanding of concepts and principles of statistics.
    • Work experience as a statistician/mathematical analysis/planning, execution and evaluation of research projects.
    • Being involved in research in the completion of a dissertation utilising qualitative, quantitative or mixed method approaches.
    • Being involved in the publication of research work in peer-reviewed and/or accredited journals.

    Lecturer: Programming Logic And Design (Independent Contractor)

    • Bachelor degree with programming or a similarly related field to the third
    • year level PLUS a postgraduate diploma in a related field or in education.

    Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

    • Lecturing experience in programming
    • Work experience as a software developer/application developer/ programmer
