    RGM & BI Analyst

     

    How You Will Contribute

    You will:

    • Define requirements for analysis in a given business area and perform detailed analysis and identify trends defined in the requirements
    • Identify patterns and help the business react to changing business conditions
    • Perform root-cause analysis and interpret data
    • Work with large amounts of data such as facts, figures, and mathematics/formulas and undertake analytical activities and delivers analysis outputs in accordance with customer needs and conforming to established standards
    • Understand and be involved with aspects of the data science process
    • As the investigator on the data science team, you will apply your knowledge of languages and pull data out of SQL databases, using Tableau/Power BI type tools, and producing basic data visualizations and reporting dashboards

    • The role will analyze key data necessary for driving essential business intelligence, reporting, analytics and commercial modelling in aid of supporting Mondelez business priorities, in line with Revenue Growth Management levers and initiatives.
    • The role will be responsible for the development, analysis and maintenance of RGM and RTM projects and tools. The candidate will be required to work cross-functionally and will play an important role in using both internal and 3rd party data to present key analysis and insights to track business performance and impact of RGM levers and initiatives. The role will drive collaboration within the business through providing and leveraging the insights from data analytics to influence key stakeholders and positive business outcomes. The overall function assists the business by empowering them with intelligence that will result in better decision-making and organizational performance.

    What you need to know about this position:

    This position (reporting to the RGM & BI Lead – South Africa) will drive the business forward by increasing insight and access to data as well as increase the capability and role of RGM by supporting and driving superior, healthy growth within the South African (“Market”) including BLNS. Specifically, this role will:

    • Gather, analyze and report on internal & external data sources, including SAP BI, Smollan, Nielsen, Spar Insights, Data Orbis, plus any other external data sources having the potential to impact and drive business forward business performance
    • Drive the adoption of business intelligence as an integral step in helping key stakeholders stay updated with their business performance by proving timeous and accurate information of their customers, categories, segments, product portfolios, etc.
    • Support the establishment, alignment, and delivery of the market’s ambition, approach & strategic roadmap for RGM
    • Provide in-depth analysis in order to uncover and unlock RGM insights and sized growth opportunities.
    • Support in the management, maintenance & implementation (as required), best-in-class RGM methodologies, processes & technologies to ensure the market has the right access to data, analytical & evaluation tools.
    • Work with & support regional team to drive specific work tracks & ad-hoc projects in market as and when as required
    • Have a good understand of the Perfect Store/Right Store principals, drive execution through reporting that supports the overall business objective.

    Education / Certifications:

    • Minimum of 5 experience in the FMCG industry
    • Experience in working with large data sets, reports and dashboard development
    • Experience in operational planning/revenue management roles
    • Excellent working knowledge of Excel (creating Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, etc. is a must)
    • Intermediate experience in implementation of systems, digital technologies, data analytics and development of models with commercial insights
    • Excellent systems knowledge (SAP, Microsoft, etc.) a must
    • Familiarity with creating and maintaining processes efficiently as well as updating and maintaining SOP documentation

    Job specific requirements:

    Assist in leading the establishment, alignment, and delivery of the market’s ambition, approach & strategic roadmap for RGM:

    Lead & enable the Market to analyze, uncover and unlock RGM insights and sized growth opportunities:

    • Support in executing & facilitating deployment of Advanced RGM training within the Markets (i.e. playbooks, tools & methodologies), including assisting with tailoring the localization of training materials where necessary.
    • Support / lead RGM project deep dives or ‘sprints’ across prioritized Market categories to unlock further growth opportunities and prioritize executional plans inclusive of leveraging regional and / or global learnings & initiatives.

    Entrench RGM as ‘business as usual’ through the cross-functional commercial planning process:

    • Support development of RGM Market blueprint by category; process establishment including setting and reporting on KPI’s and preparation of plans for AC/SP horizons; required analytical and digital capabilities / enablers; ensure ongoing governance.
    • Maintain market governance of RGM – including Price protocols and agreed KPI delivery.

    Ensure the market has access to accurate and updated data, analytical tools, and best-in-class RGM methodologies & technologies:

    • Understand regional vs market data requirements to enable best practice RGM and partner with local I&A/D&A teams to ensure an ongoing level of quality and sufficiency
    • Support with scope, development and implementation of Market RGM systems, digital & analytical needs and support MDS.
    • Leverage best practice tools and technology in RGM and where appropriate pilot in-market through RGM Domain expertise (use & outcome)
    • Support Market adoption and best practice implementation of RGM digital platforms and tools
    • Build required relationships with relevant cross functional teams & leaders within the Market
    • Support in managing RGM relationships with all external RGM partners within the region including Customer and service provider engagement and support for Sales Teams
    • Directly supports the Category Revenue Managers with work tracks & ad-hoc projects as required
    • Track RGM projects and initiatives and co-ordinate ad-hoc work when support is required
    • Elevate internal and external data and processes to support the functional requirements and progression of perfect store

    Drive Best in Class reporting & systems, this would include weekly / Monthly / Quarterly and annually

    • Monthly sales decks
    • Consumption/Distributor data Dashboard
    • Gross to Net Management & Reporting (aligning with finance)

    Sales Revenue Planner (Trade Marketing Manager)

    How You Will Contribute

    • Work with customer teams to track progress towards revenue KPIs
    • Complete promotional post evaluations in partnership with Finance and Marketing
    • Support the Customer Planning Manager by providing regular reporting including volume tracking, trade spend, % promoted, seasonal in flight tracking

    Purpose

    • This role is responsible for the governance (tracking and assessment to contract) of the overall category commercial plan, working on the IBP process and customer JBP timelines. Helps lead the cross-functional alignment with the Sales and Category, Marketing, Finance, Demand planning & CS&L teams to ensure the Marketing and Shopper plans deliver against budgets and resource allocation (both internal and external).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Category commercial plan (6 months & below) for the Channel (Modern Trade)
    • Manage Category promotional strategy across channels/ customers and communication to stakeholders
    • Support the preparation of NPD selling story to ensure implementation of launch plan
    • Analyze, evaluate and communicate the category performance across channels and customers
    • Assesses delivery of the category Gross to Nett (Trade Spend) target versus contract and manage consolidation of the category forecast across channels and customers
    • Responsible for category forecasting by channels and customer and manage the sales input (bottom up forecast) to the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle.
    • Coordinate in-store category/brand advertising with the relevant stakeholders across sales and marketing to ensure excellence and consistency in execution output.
    • Actively launch/activate/track implementation and performance on new product launches, activations and promotions, also conducting post evaluations to be shared with the commercial organization.
    • Manage category portfolio operational issues (e.g. skus code change, transition for code change) to ensure no disruption in day to day operation across channels and customers.
    • Plan and execute point of purchase (POP) 5Ps tactics that underpin the delivery of AC targets & reflect the category strategy.
    • Compile Sales Activation Master Plans (SAMP) that include POS material and visibility plan based on 5P Picture of Success for the channel

    Qualification And Experience

    • A relevant Commercial Degree or Diploma or equivalent qualification is required
    • 6-8 years experience in FMCG with experience in Sales/Trade Marketing and/or Insights
    • 3-5 years’ experience in Shopper/Trade Marketing Activation strategies
    • Experience in developing business reporting and KPI dashboards for a full picture of channel, customer and consumer performance
    • Well versed in the use of Nielsen/IRI and retailer specific systems would be an added advantage
    • Understand promotional tactics, execution and fulfilment processes

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Relevant sales &/or sales operations experience
    • Highly articulate with good written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
    • Proven Space and Category Planning knowledge
    • Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail and proven ability to interpret data into insights
    • Excellent client facing, communication and administrative abilities required
