    Accountant - Tshwane

    MUST HAVE: 

    • Completed Articles (and qualification)
    • Xero and Sage online
    • Microsoft Excel Advanced
    • EasyFile
    • GreatSoft

    Accounting work:

    • Processing of day-to-day transactions, bank entries, suppliers invoices and customer invoices;
    • Preparing the monthly / bi-monthly VAT returns and the submission thereof.
    • Maintaining VAT reconciliation between the VAT returns and the financial statements;
    • Preparing payrolls for various customers and checking that the statutory deductions (PAYE etc), are accurately maintained;
    • Posting of Payroll journals to the accounting records, submitting PAYE returns to SARS;
    • Reconciling of various balance sheet accounts;
    • Analytical review of various accounts;
    • Knowledge of Xero and Sage online is very important
    • Good working knowledge of Excel.
    • Good working knowledge of Company Act and Income Tax Act
    • Knowledge of VAT and Employee tax and related items (COIDA/ UIF) NB
    • Knowledge of Esy File NB

    Financial statements:

    • Preparing management account and draft of financial statement at year-end;

    Taxation:

    • Completing and submitting annual tax returns;
    • Knowledge of E-Filing is very important.
    • Ensure compliance of clients with SARS legislation.

    Knowledge of GreatSoft

    Good people skills and communication skills.
