Degree or B Tech in Accounting/ Financial Management.
2 - 5 years of practical experience general and municipal accounting and budgeting procedures and practice.
Computer Proficiency (MS Office & SAP)
Valid Driver’s Licence.
Key Performance Areas
Conduct, Analyse, evaluate and provide information on researched or investigated resources.
Participating in the facilitation of project and process development.
Answering routine queries regarding the Department’s/ Branch’s services and systems and resolving problems within his/her area of authority.
Monitor Capital and operating expenditure for the
Department according to the relevant legislation and Council policy and procedures
Assist and guide with Internal Price and activity prices calculation,
Activity based Costing & review
Assisting Senior Professional Officer with all processes applicable to annual budget processes and Adjustments Budgets.
Providing assistance to branches when inputting financial data as part of budget process.
Assist with the monitoring expenditure and revenue against planned/approved spend
Assist in performing quality assurance checks, and to confirm in conjunction with branches, that the budgets are accurate and correct and can be submitted for approval as part of annual budget preparation processes.
