    Internship: Graphic Design

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Grade 12/Matric plus a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Graphic Design or Computer Graphics or a related field (like Visual Arts) OR Degree (NQF level 7) in Graphic Design subject or Computer Graphics or related field ( Like Visual Arts); 
    • The candidate will be expected to have knowledge and an understanding of graphic design and/or visual design and its compatible software by using design tools including design software (Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro, Toon Boom etc.) to create complex concepts by designing and presenting rough drafts of art (i.e., size, colour, typography, images, style, layout and related aesthetic concepts). 
    • Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.  

    Primary Function:

    • Create and incorporate graphics into the City’s brand, digital products and social media strategies that the City’s messages in a unique, fast easy-to perceive and appealing manner, This incorporates several tasks and responsibilities such as writing and editing scripts and using software to illustrate complex ideas visually by giving static or abstract designs ( Like logos, shapes, objects, text) ani9mation and movement with or without following a specific narrative.

    Senior Specialist: Case Management & Litigation

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Matric/Grade 12 plus a Degree in Labour Relations Management, Human Resources Management or equivalent (NQF level 7); 
    • 5 – 7 years’ working experience in the Labour Relations environment or related field of which 2 years must be in a specialized environment; 
    • Proven track record in LR Management, managing external stakeholders, conflict resolution, change management and organizational development; 
    • Valid driver’s license.  

    Primary Function:

    • Provide expert Labour Relations oversight, advisory, advocacy, counsel and support, ensuring consistency and quality of collective agreement, labour policies and procedures. Work with a team of Labour Relations Specialists, Human Resources professionals and line managers to address relations issues providing advise and direction, including providing counsel and support to managers in addressing employee grievances.  

    Key Performance Areas: 

    • Manage, facilitate/prepare and control procedures associated with Disciplinary and Grievance cases and enquiries; 
    • Prepare and represent the Municipality in case referred for Conciliation/Arbitration;

    Medical Doctor

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Completed 2 years of Internship and 1 year of Community Service; 
    • Degree in Health Sciences (MBChB)/NQF level 8; 
    • Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Medical Practitioner; 
    • Post Community Services; 
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a Primary Healthcare setting/community health centre/district hospital;

    Primary Function: 

    • Coordinate the provision and delivery of comprehensive Primary Health Care services using the DHS legal framework in line with the National Norms and Standards. Provide leadership and supervision in the facility in support of the Facility Manager. Effectively manage the training and research aimed at development and maintenance of professional/ethical standards in PHC facilities and PHC training school – particularly the medical, pharmaceutical/ethical standards in PHC facilities nursing students and operational staff. Plan and implement the clinical and professional services and the development of clinicians and promote and participate in research within the City. Lead the transformation of PHC services through proactive health promotion interventions and community-based/outreach programmes, in partnership with other community-based health interventions.

    Deputy Director: Revenue

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Grade 12 plus a B Degree in Commerce, with Accounting as a major (NQF level 7); 
    • Code 8 Driver’s license; 
    • 7 – 9 years’ working experience in the financial field; 
    • 5 year’s managerial experience in a diverse financial management environment; 
    • Practical experience in the revenue and/or cash management environment.  

    Primary Function:

    • Lead, manage, and direct all matters within the Transport Department’s Revenue Sub-directorate to ensure effective and efficient reporting of financial information within the Unit.  

    Key Performance Areas: 

    • Lead the development, management, and implementation of relevant financial, legislation, policies, regulations, procedures, systems, and controls associated with key deliverables embodied in the Municipality; 
    • Fairly report financial information to the City’s Financial Statements; 
    • Develop, establish, and monitor policy and operational direction for the Revenue Division by providing processes and procedures in compliance with the relevant and applicable legislation; 
    • Develop strategies both manual and systems-related, processes and procedures to ensure completeness of cash and minimization of cash losses; 
    • Properly manage bank accounts to ensure that all the City’s cash is fully banked and accounted for accurately to the correct account; 
    • Manage the Revenue Division’s audit process; 
    • Perform budget monitoring to ensure revenue and related expenditure is in line with the approved budget; 
    • Manage the Transport Revenue Division in terms of Human Resources and Training; 
    • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure completeness of revenue and address any revenue leakages.

    Director: Finance

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Matric/Grade 12 plus degree in Accounting / BCom or any financial-related qualification on NQF level 7; 
    • 10 years’ experience of which 5 years in middle management; 
    • 7 - 8 years of managerial experience in the compilation analysis and interpretation of financial management reports and balance sheets analysis; 
    • 5 years’ experience in Public Sector Finance (MMFA or PMFA);

    Assistant Director: Security Services

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate; 
    • BTech degree / Advanced diploma in Security Management, or any other security related qualifications at NQF level 7; 
    • Valid grade B PSIRA accredited certificate; 
    • (9) years relevant experience with four (4) years at middle management level within the Safety and Security Industry;
