- Coordinate and manage the implementation of the performance management process in association with the relevant P&O Advisor and the Specialist Remuneration.
- Assist in maintaining sound employee relations through continuous coaching, consulting, negotiating, and counselling with various stakeholders.
- Manage the delivery of P&O services such as manpower planning, recruitment, performance management, reward, management of incapacity cases and employee relations through technical proficiency.
- Participate and identify cost-saving initiatives within the area of control.
- Manage and approve budgetary expenditures within authorisation limits.
- Analyse data and determine improvement and development areas within the P&O value chain.
- Refine an improvement plan to address development areas and track and report progress.
- Implement and facilitate climate and cultural interventions for the operation.
- Implement and facilitate organisational effectiveness and transformational strategy.
- Identify continuous improvement projects that will enable the P&O fraternity to provide excellent P&O support and maintain a strategic business partnership with management.
This role is in People & Organisation (P&O) NC on a band 6 level (D4/D5) reporting to Manager, People & Organisation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent /B Tech (NQF7)
- Honours Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent (NQF8) – Advantageous
- SA Drivers Licence
Technical Knowledge
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in Manpower Budgeting, Organisation & Job Design, Resourcing, Performance Management, Career and Succession Planning, HRD, Employee relations, and Consequence Management.
- Knowledge and competence in SAP HR and MS Office.
- Knowledge in leading teams, including coordinating knowledge sharing across the P&O discipline, managing workload, and reviewing the work of others to ensure consistency with task requirements.
- A consistently excellent example of safety practices, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the critical importance of safety knowledge.
