    Team Leader

    Job Purpose:

    • To lead, manage and optimise workforce operations across Client Services and the Administration & Indexing teams. This role ensures resources are dynamically aligned to business demand, driving service excellence, operational efficiency, and effective task distribution based on staff skills and capacity.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage a cross-functional team across client service, admin, and indexing units
    • Allocate tasks and shift resources dynamically based on skillset, business volume, and priority
    • Implement agile workforce planning and reallocation models to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
    • Partner closely with both Admin and Client Service managers to align on daily and long-term goals
    • Monitor KPIs across all units; implement coaching plans and targeted interventions as needed
    • Ensure quality standards, service level agreements, and compliance metrics are consistently met
    • Support and track individual and team performance through regular audits and reviews
    • Drive end-to-end optimization of admin, client service, and indexing workflows
    • Identify opportunities to cross-skill staff for greater flexibility and coverage
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate on change management projects
    • Build a high-performance, agile, and adaptable team culture
    • Lead daily huddles, training sessions, and development planning
    • Manage workforce engagement and retention through structured leadership and support

    • Identify and escalate operational or financial risks in workflow and task assignments

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • Strong understanding of client servicing, admin processing
    • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and flex resources based on need
    • Leadership experience in the long-term insurance industry
    • Experience in the role/ Similar role

    Operations Manager

    Job Advert Summary    

    • An Exciting new opportunity have become available within Hollard Group Risk. We are looking to recruit an Operations Manager in our Admin Space in Cape Town.
    • The Operations Manager will manage the daily support of our Admin Operations area of our company and plan the most efficient administrative procedures. You will need to lead a team of professionals to complete a range of administrative duties in different area.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes
    • To ensure all support activities are carried on efficiently and effectively to allow the other operations to function properly within HGR
    • Recruit and train personnel and allocate responsibilities and duties
    • Assess staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
    • Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations
    • Manage schedules and deadlines
    • Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation
    • Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations

    Claims Consultant

    Job Purpose

    • This Claims Negotiator role will be responsible for managing Branch claims assigned, within the branch mandate, within the set standards required by the company thus contributing to the productivity of the claims department. Maintaining the standards of the claims department thus enhancing the image of Hollard, as well as ensuring technical aspects for claims settlement are adhered to. Contribute to the growth and profitability of Hollard and ensure strong working relationship between all stakeholders

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical expertise: To evaluate and investigate all claims received in order to prevent possible leakage to the company in the settlement of claims.
    • Customer service: Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to service level agreements and within the service standards as set by the Company.
    • Service to brokers: Over and above normal claims processing duties such as technical advice and other assistance.
    • Effective and timeous communication: Communicate in a professional manner with internal and external parties and respond to queries within 24 hours.
    • Registration: All claims received to be registered within 24 hours of receipt.

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • Good knowledge of Commercial (including AGRI) & Personal insurance with at least 5 years’ experience
    • Claims procedure
    • Insurance terminology
    • Legal knowledge (prescription act, insurance act, FAIS)
    • Underwriting knowledge (ability to interpret policy wording, understanding how claims information impacts on underwriting)
    • Basic risk assessment knowledge (understand the assessment process, with an ability to appoint the right assessor)
    • Reinsurance and treaties (basic understanding)
    • Product knowledge
    • Basic financial knowledge (estimates, premiums, co-insurance)
    • FAIS compliance

    Educational Requirements    

    • NQF 4 Insurance qualification or equivalent advantageous
