    POSITION SUMMARY

    • The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and learning cooking techniques under the guidance of senior chefs.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare special meals or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish. Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.     JOB SUMMARY

    • Please note that this position is open to SA citizens only. Please note that due to the nature of our industry, this position will require shift and weekend work. 
    • Accountable for overall success of the daily kitchen operations. Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions. Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility.
