    Internal Risk Controller

    The Role: 

    • You will be supporting, implementing and testing compliance of the operational risk and control framework for Credit Risk function. 

    The Responsibilities:

    • Co-ordinate the operational risk assessment and mapping process for the assigned Business areas
    • Co-ordinate the implementation and updating of the controls between the for the assigned Business areas and the relevant Shareholder Operational Permanent Control departments
    • Perform gap analysis on Shareholder policies and procedures relative to the relevant RCS departments policies and procedures
    • Co-ordinate the adaption and dispensation requests of the relevant RCS Department policies and procedures relative to Shareholder policies and procedures
    • Monitoring and testing the implementation of any recommendations issued by Internal Audit to the Departments
    • Co-ordinate the identification, investigation and reporting of any potential or actual historical incidents to the Operational Risk and Control department
    • Test the implementation and operating effectiveness of the controls for the relevant departments through the monthly control testing plan
    • Report on the status of the relevant departments permanent control framework to the relevant Shareholder Operational Permanent Control department
    • Stay abreast of local regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with both local and Shareholder requirements

    The Requirements:

    • A relevant and applicable Bachelors’ Degree or Higher Diploma
    • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience within an Audit/ Compliance or similar function
    • Experience of the Financial Services industry with particular emphasis on risk, controls and governance - advantageous

    Credit Risk Analyst

    The Role:

    • You will be contributing to the management of Credit Risk by providing information and analytical support for the effective monitoring and control of risk exposure for an assigned portfolio.

     
    The Responsibilities:

    • Producing risk reports as part of the monthly risk reporting processes
    • Aligning risk reporting to meet Shareholder requirements
    • Performing standard and ad-hoc statistical analysis to investigate trends and support Credit Risk decisions
    • Conducting analysis to determine the impact of changes to application and account management strategies
    • Presenting ideas via reports and presentations, outlining findings and making recommendations for improvements to business stakeholders
    • Investigating data integrity issues, testing assumptions and validating analytical results, ensuring accuracy and sensitivity of findings
    • Running statistical models to forecast portfolio risk and monitor trends
    • Testing the implementation of strategy changes to live decisioning systems
    • Forecasting and monitoring credit market trends using statistical techniques
    • Assisting with scorecard monitoring

    The Requirements: 

    • Relevant Degree

    At least 3 years’ experience in the following:

     - Credit risk analysis on lending products
     - Preparation of data-driven credit policy recommendations for senior management
     - Data manipulation and analysis using SAS, SQL or other data analysis tools
     - Bad debt provisioning techniques (advantageous)

    • Financial and / or Retail Credit experience – advantageous
