    Operations Leadership Trainee

    In this role:

    • Functional Rotation: the successful candidate will be assigned up to seven different rotations to provide them with a strong understanding of all areas essential to the Operations function. During each rotation, you will be assigned a “Departmental Sponsor/Learning Leader” to oversee the associate’s time, work and training in that area.
    • The departments are: Production, Quality Lab, Warehouse/Distribution,Production Planning & Scheduling, Plant Maintenance, Quality Management & Process Technology and Engineering.
    • Functional Exposures: Is focused on developing basic cross-functional exposure to other key areas within the business, outside of the manufacturing / production area. The diverse training areas for exposure are: EH&S, Operational Accounting, HR, FC&A, S+T, Commercial,Customer Care, PID & Regulatory, Regional Supply Chain and Samples.
    • Leadership Development: Involves the transition of the candidate into a leadership role within Givaudan. You will begin developing advanced people-leadership skills and will supervise and coordinate all efforts related to the tactical daily operation of the department. You will begiven projects to either manage or participate on throughout the program.

    Your professional profile includes:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a field of Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, OperationsManagement, etc.
    • Fluency in English
    • At least 2 years of working experience
    • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting preferred
    • Results oriented
    • Adaptable to a constantly changing work environment
    • Superior interpersonal and communication skills

    Production Operator

    Core Responsibilities

    • Under supervision of more experienced Operator/Leader, perform basic operation of designated machinesand productionequipment such as (one of the following): blenders, sieves, spray dryer systems, batchingsystems, multipurpose reactors,spinning cone column, bulk tanks, Roxane robots, packaging systems, ovens,mills, distillation columns (stills),encapsulation systems. Common tasks involve one of the following activities:blending, mixing, dispensing, packaging,heating, cooking, adding enzymes, compounding, filtering.
    • Collect intermediates or raw materials, move and load it into production machines.
    • Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications, so the proper quantities of materials are added inthe propersequence.
    • Manufacture product in a safe and timely manner and according to predefined process instructions to meetspecific qualitystandards.
    • Accurately read control instruments, prepare neat & accurate records for all operations as required.
    • Troubleshoot problems under guidance of more experienced Operator or provide assistance.
    • Assist in performing in-process quality testing to ensure customer specifications are met. Identify deviationsanddocument/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according todepartmentspecifications.
    • Maintain neat, orderly and clean shop floor and workplace at all times and complete all sanitation andhousekeepingduties as required.
    • Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP,FDA, USDA andinternal safety guidelines
    • Process Improvement
    • Proactively identify process improvements.
    • Participate in Lean activities in designated areas.

    Academic Background

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Professional experience

    • 3 to 4 years of experience in flavor, ingredient, food or chemical manufacturing preferred.
    • Forklift operation skills preferred

    Planning - Learner

    Core Responsibilities

    • Review customer orders for raw materials resale demands. Create repack process orders as needed andrelease to production.
    • Resolve or escalate issues related to orders, working with production, customer care and regional and globalaffiliates as required.
    • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly status reports (e.g. COOISPI schedule, OTS, past due purchase orders)and distribute.
    • Produce and analyse order and production data on an ad hoc basis as required by management.
    • Receive and record vendor confirmations, file purchase order documents, other duties as required. Work withmaterials planners and purchasing group to resolve vendor issues.
    • Perform various auxiliary administrative planning functions to support department manager, productionplanners and raw material planners as required.
    • Work under the standards of quality, safety and industrial hygiene and good practices.
    • Management of boot and pager invoices for the site.
    • Manage Packaging Supply.
    • Follow and execute PIR/golden rules/best practices, SLOB.

    Academic Background

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Foreign Trade or others, or studying towards aqualification.

    Maintenance Engineer

    Core Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and support maintenance teams in executing and reporting routine maintenance activities,handling repairs of installations, equipment and machinery (for example planned maintenanceprograms, shut-downs, or emergency repairs) to minimize business disruptions caused by break-downs and malfunctions.
    • Monitor the daily inspections of production machines and equipment as well as all electrical devices,power supply circuits, distribution boards, control panels, pumps, lighting systems, air- conditions, firealarm system and spare parts to evaluate requests for repair.
    • Diagnose & report breakdown problems to the department head.
    • Monitor availability and state of maintenance tools, stores and equipment and advise on replacing orordering new equipment and/or tools.
    • Monitor performance of technical service contractors involved in utilities and services operations andimplement corrective actions if necessary.
    • Coach and develop maintenance staff so that repairs and services activities are completed accurately,safely, and on-time.
    • Provide technical advice to maintenance and operations managers with regards to operationalimplications of capital projects implementation.
    • Observe and role model all safety rules applicable on site.

    Academic Background

    • Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
    • Plant Engineering or Maintenance Certification preferred.

    Professional Experience

    • 4+ years work experience of 2 to 4 years in manufacturing plants as Maintenance Engineer, preferablein the consumer goods Industry.
    • Up to 1 year of experience in people management desirable.
