    Regulatory Accountant Senior Analyst

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
    • Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
    • Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events
    • Produce metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures
    • Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects
    • Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions
    • Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products
    • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
    • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
    • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
    • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of related experience
    • Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
    • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
    • Ability to work with multiple functions
    • Proven problem-solving skills
    • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

    Operational Risk Intmd Analyst

    Responsibilities:

    • Participates in the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
    • Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
    • Provides governance and oversight may include (not limited to) technology operational risk, risk for example.
    • Executes the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) program in a timely manner.
    • Plans, tests and reports on Operational Risk findings
    • Tests and monitors key controls which have been identified for each product line and document results.
    • Liases with business and line control officers on any deficiencies or control gaps.
    • Ensures appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified.
    • Documents, implements and executes Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for management of control issues

    Markets Compliance Officer - Senior Vice President

    Responsibilities:

    • Designing, developing, delivering and maintaining best-in-class Compliance, programs, policies and practices. Translates Compliance strategy and goals across Citi’s clients, products and geographies in a succinct and clear manner; provide direction and guidance on the programs.
    • Serving as a subject matter expert on Citi’s Compliance programs. Provides expert guidance on function/business/product regulations on a real-time basis to manage compliance risk.
    • Staying abreast of relevant changes to rules/regulations and other industry news including regulatory findings.
    • Overseeing the monitoring and identification of regulatory developments, including enforcement actions, and new laws, regulations, rules, and interpretations or guidance relating to the supported function/business/product.
    • Analysing and scoping the impact of new and complex regulatory developments across senior function/business/product, including cross-border impact.
    • Advising Markets and function/business/product management and personnel on regulatory and compliance issues and provide credible challenge.
    • Leading initiatives and managing high-impact special project work streams with a results-driven focus to deliver solutions, including coordinating the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
    • Managing strategy and responses to regulatory examinations, reviews and inquiries and internal and external investigations, as well as testing and audit.
    • Partnering with other Compliance teams and global functions, including Legal, Risk, Operations and Technology, and Finance to prevent and detect non-compliance issues and promote a culture of compliance.

    Qualifications:

    • Expertise of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies;

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization,

    Securities & Custody Analyst

    What you’ll do

    • Processing transaction settlement processes in Custody Operations unit for Equities, Bonds and Money Market.
    • Liaise with brokers, regulators, and other market participants to ensure all trades settled.
    • Ensure that the client is informed of all open and unmatched trades.
    • Make sure that market obligations are met to avoid market sanctions for default.
    • Reconciliation and monitoring client cash and security account
    • Continuously improve on procedures and process flow for settlement
    • Act as back up for all positions in the unit including Head of Custody operations.
    • Liaise with various departments in the bank to service the client.
    • Work with the Head of Custody operations to streamline processes and to achieve common goals.
    • Supervision of settlement operations within Custody Operations unit
    • Manage daily settlement functions in Custody operations in conjunction with ensuring quality service are delivered to the client. Ensure all control, policies, procedures and reporting requirements are adhered to.
    • Co-ordinate provision of settlement information provided to customers by Custody Operations team in response to clients’ settlement related queries.
    • Provide input to the development of Custody product programmes. Support the business units on all Custody business development projects.
    • Maintain effective personal administration and capacity.
    • Work with the other units that are settlement interfacing to streamline processes and to achieve common goals.
    • Assist Head of Custody operations in providing feedback to business heads and the Senior Country Operations Officer on all risks associated with Custody products/processes, including those associated with changes in the regulatory environment, and ensure that such risks are appropriately documented and addressed by the implementation of effective controls.
    • Participating in process improvement projects and various operations management tasks as delegated.
    • Conduct internal and market testing where required.
    • Manage client queries be responding within agreed turnaround times, in a professional manner and address client education where necessary.

    What we’ll need from you

    • 5 years of  Equity, Fixed Income and Money Market experience in the South African custody market.
    • A University Degree.
    • Strate Compliance officer is an added advantage.
