    Job description

    Having a strong and dynamic business development team is not only a strategic focus for WNS, but a key differentiator of ours too. Our Business Development team plays a critical role in keeping our business relevant through understanding our customers’ needs and spotting the right business opportunities. They are the face of our organisation and responsible to grow the WNS client portfolio through new deal opportunities as well as existing client opportunities.

    The Vice President – Business Development will enable new business opportunities in the Contact Centre, Shared Services, Finance & Accounting, Human Resource solutions and Procurement solutions areas across multiple industries. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will also be responsible for defining strategic sales plans, maintaining and building both existing and new key CXO relationships, negotiate and close business deals, whilst maintaining extensive knowledge of the company’s and current services and solutions.

    Qualifications/ Experience

    • 15 years of experience in the sales environment
    • Minimum of 5 years serving in a senior consulting, advisory, or business development and sales role
    • Experience within either the BPO, Outsourcing, Professional Services, and / or Consulting industries

    • Passion for sales, good business acumen and interpersonal skills to interact all the way to CXO level

    • Curious and with an ability to ask the right questions to uncover relevant business opportunities

    Job-Related Knowledge, Competencies & Skills

    Essential

    • Mostly worked with, and sold to, CXO level
    • Worked in a cohesive senior / EXCO team sales environment
    • Excellent understanding of general business principles and concepts
    • Proven ability in mapping business requirements to winning solutions
    • Proven experience in managing large complex transactions
    • Must have a large /established client network of CEOs and other executives

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • To sell large end-to-end business process outsourcing solutions to prospective clients
    • Give critical support and input to the WNS Solutions team in crafting tailored deals for clients
    • Own and drive client relationships to facilitate retention as well as farming opportunities
    • Use management information and business analytics to drive sales opportunities and value in new and existing clients
    • Customer insight and reporting to the business
    • Prospecting through an existing network, building a new network, while embracing cold calling, social media, and events as key sales channels
    • Build solid client and prospect relationships
    • Prepare and maintain a sales plan
    • Work with the Business Development team and larger organisation to develop client-specific proposals, attend industry functions, associations, events,
    • Maintain an excellent understanding of WNS’s value proposition
