    Email Marketing Technical Architect

    Job description

    Role Overview

    Our continued drive to expand and provide world class services within the digital marketing arena, has created the need for a Technical Architect to be based in our Cape Town office. The Technical Architect is a senior consultant with solid client facing experience working on complex software projects. In addition to relevant technology domain expertise, this individual must have the necessary writing skills to author complex specification documents, blueprints and proposals. The Technical Architect is the lead for mostly custom engagements and will be responsible for engaging with the client on gathering their business requirements and designing a technical solution. The Technical Architect instills confidence through maturity, expertise and impeccable communications (written and oral) with customers.

    Responsibilities

    Engage with Implementation Consultants, Technical Producers and Project Managers and work with clients on the following type of Email Marketing engagements:

    • Solution Design and Architecture (Medium and High Complexity)
    • Scripting and Query development
    • Data mapping and extract strategies
    • Relational Data / Data Schema
    • Web Services and API development
    • Custom Reporting
    • Custom application development projects
    • HTML creation for webpages and emails
    • Webpage builds using jQuery framework
    • Leverage the native and other scripting languages to deliver highly dynamic and
    • Personalized content in both emails and landing pages (AMPScript and XSLT)
    • Active mentoring and knowledge transfer within the broader Email Marketing Team, specifically of the Implementation Consultants
    • Technical Lead on client engagements – from scoping the new engagement, to creating the solution and solution design documentation

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Experience with SQL and relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL)
    • 3+ years’ experience with programming languages (.NET, JAVA, PHP, JavaScript)
    • 3+ years Web Development experience (HTML, PGP/GPG, CSS, XML, Web Services, etc.) Bachelor degree or equivalent (computer science, computer technology, information systems or similar degree preferred)
    • Ability to lead and effectively manage technical discussions
    • API Programming experience
    • HTML for email creation experience and email
    • Experience with ExactTarget Systems and Adobe Product Suite will be a plus
    • Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop experience
    • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

    Web Developer/ email Marketing Deployment Consultant

    Job description

    Role Overview

    Our continued drive to expand and provide world class services within the digital marketing arena, has created the need for an email Marketing Deployment Consultant to be based in Cape Town Office

    You will primarily be responsible for the build and deployment of email campaigns.

    Reporting and Management Structures

    The position will report to the Partner Services Manager based in Cape Town.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with email Marketing Campaign Manager to manage, create and deploy campaigns on behalf of Acceleration and the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) customer
    • Manage the customer's email campaign calendar to ensure that regularly-scheduled sends are completed in a timely fashion, and that unscheduled sends are executed in accordance with pre-agreed customer deadlines
    • Build emails and SMS campaigns for the Customer in the SFMC Platform
    • Perform campaign-specific testing to validate functional and rendering performance of the emails and SMS campaigns
    • Manage customer revision and approval process through the deployment of proofs
    • Manage subscriber data, import and segmentation using a combination of messaging tools and database queries
    • Monitor the campaign post-deployment to validate completion and communicate accordingly to the Customer
    • Co-ordinate client reporting post-deployment

    Requirements

    BSc Computer Science or BComm Information Services degree or equivalent preferred

    • Minimum of 2 years in a similar digital marketing role
    • Proven 2+ years email Marketing email application experience essential
    • Proven literacy with HTML, CSS, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite, scripting languages, email coding, Internet Explorer and other browsers
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Platform experience is beneficial
    • Knowledge of email platforms preferred
    • Strong numeracy and administration skills
    • High energy levels and a strong team player with strong interpersonal skills
    • Self-driven, hands on executor and results-oriented individual
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
    • Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
    • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills essential
    • Proven Customer-focused work ethic with high standard of service and quality control. Clear verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of business English grammar.

    Email Marketing Quality Assurer

    You will primarily be responsible for the Quality Assurance of email campaigns prior to deployment and internal checking of email campaigns prior to Client proofing.

    Reporting and Management Structures

    The position will report to the Partner Services Manager based in Cape Town.

    Responsibilities

    • Quality Assurance of email campaigns prior to deployment
    • Internal checking of email campaigns prior to Client proofing
    • Logging of errors in campaigns submitted for QA
    • Review and update of the QA checklist
    • Daily update of QA logs
    • Submitting QA accuracy logs to relevant Service Managers
    • Indicating key areas of weaknesses in the Campaign Management Process

    Requirements
