RCL FOODS is seeking a Processing Manager to join our Consumer, Grocery Division. The role will be based in Randfontein and report to the Manufacturing Executive.

The Talent Acquisition team is looking for someone with extensive experience in the edible oil manufacturing industry who works well under pressure. Good interpersonal and communication skills is key to the success of the role.

The Processing Manager will be responsible for the management of the following Oil production departments: Crushing, Refinery and Packing as well as the Water Purification plant. The main responsibility will be producing a consistent quality product at minimum cost that meets the customer expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Production related qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a FMCG food production environment, specifically edible oil and edible oil related products.
• Experience in the management of a unionized workforce is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day to day management of the plant in terms of productivity and yields
• Ensure raw materials and final product complies with specification
• Management of the training of the production staff
• Manage an effective planned preventative maintenance program
• Manage the compliance with legal and food safety requirements – OHS, HACCP, FSSC 22000
• Manage the quality and safety assurance during and after completion of food production
• Budget management
• Preparation of monthly reports
• Attend monthly and weekly meetings with specific reference to health and safety, production and yields.
