    Key Accounts Manager

    Job Description

    Job purpose, structure, and location:

    Data Integration Manager – Responsible for reviewing customer needs pertaining to data and business integration, evaluating customer requirements, providing a functional specification and overseeing the data delivery process from original concept to final implementation ensuring the customer's’ data integration projects run smoothly and all related business needs are fulfilled. On-going customer support is key to ensuring the integration of Medpages data in the customer’s applications is a success. Key responsibilities entail planning and coordinating daily activities related to data integration that will positively impact the operational effectiveness of the customers.

    Key Accounts Manager – Responsible for providing complete and dedicated customer service. Manage and coordinate administrative activities with regards to both new business and existing customers, including maintaining of day-to-day operations of contracted services.

    The position is in Johannesburg, based at 28 East offices, as well as remote work from home.

    The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

    Job function: Data Integration (Medpages Customers: New and Current):

    • Project Management: Define project scope and objectives. Oversee all data integration projects with customers from original concept through to final implementation and to provide ongoing support
    • Creates and maintains project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project product/service lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts
    • Plan and prioritize scheduled “go live” roll outs between customers, customers’ vendors, and the Medpages development team
    • Analyze customer's’ technical requirements and align with customers’ business needs, create a detailed data specification with the Medpages development team
      • Provide IT developed and approved quotes for all integration jobs and ensure all jobs are invoiced timeously
      • Ensure testing and validation process is in place for all data files/formats to ensure data supply meets the customer's’ required specifications
      • Review, QA and provide the final sign off on all new file formats
    • On-site meetings with customers to review project deliverables i.e. successful Medpages data integration within business applications within set deadlines and provide continuous feedback to Medpages development team with regards to improvements/enhancements
    • Serve as the liaison between customers and Medpages development team
    • Providing ongoing support to customers
    • Serve as the point of contact for all data integration customers and their vendors and assist in further business need fulfilments
    • Investigating and solving customers data related problems
    • Current Data Integration customers:
      • Investigate how data is currently integrated and identify areas of improvement to fulfill business needs effectively:
      • Investigate whether Medpages data is being integrated successfully in all key areas of the business, if not promote usage of Medpages information to the customer
    • On-site meetings to identify and understand integration issues and providing coherent improvement/enhancement plans to the Medpages Development team
    • Identify opportunities for subscription upgrades
    • Ensure implementation of Information Quality practices and procedures, end user test plans and other IQ assessments
    • Identify Information Quality Issues and assist with improvements thereof
    • Liaising with the Medpages contracts manager to ensure Operator agreements and NDA agreements are in place for all customers’ vendors who assist with data integration
    • Key Accounts Management:
    • Building strong and strategic customer relationships and increase awareness of Medpages’ data integration services
    • Handling customer complaints and assisting with resolving issues timeously
    • Developing feedback or complaints procedures for customers to use
    • Liaise with company management to support and implement growth strategies
    • Ad hoc Sales Calls - to identify and understand customer requirements
    • Assisting other Sales Managers with Data Integration customer relations and communicating relevant issues re customers to their respective account managers
    • Proactively seek to grow business within each customer, whether existing or new, for mutual benefit and promote collaborative information sharing between Medpages and *all* customers
    • General:
    • To undertake administrative duties as required by the business
    • To manage your personal task manager and CRM ensuring due dates are met and tasks effectively prioritized
    • Efficient use of all Medpages applications and systems as per company standards
    • In addition to the key responsibilities listed above as a manager, you will be required from time to time to handle other responsibilities (which fall within the scope of the key areas above) as per the business needs

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Proven ability to work on multiple projects in different phases at the same time
    • Win-Win mentality with customer satisfaction and data accuracy focus
    • Demonstrate analytical problem-solving capability with both systems and workflows
    • High Attention to Detail coupled with Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and Proficiency in MS Office applications

    Remuneration:

    TCTC - Negotiable – according to skills, experience, and qualifications.

    Annual Performance bonuses are awarded at the discretion of the CEO.

    Performance measurement:

    The Key Accounts and Data Integration Manager will be evaluated annually based on the KPI’s as agreed upon and discussed with the CEO.
