Position Overview

IT Squared is looking for a junior PHP web developer with experience working in structured environments following defined development methodologies.

Leveraging a solid knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, candidates will work in a collaborative environment to develop highly interactive digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Candidates must be team-oriented, self-motivated and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates must be eager to grow and take on a multi-role position within their team.

Required Experience / Skills

• At least 1 year experience with web technologies, including PHP5, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Thorough understanding of responsive web site and application development, browser behaviour and compatibility, and cross-browser issues and solutions.
• Sound knowledge of MySQL query language and database design.

Advantageous

• Experience with source code management tools (e.g. Git, SVN)
• Experience with frameworks (e.g. Zend Framework)
• Knowledge of, and some experience in relevant front-end tools such as jQuery and Bootstrap to create rich interactive content.
• Experience with Wordpress
