About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced software developer with a strong background in message-driven object oriented designs. The position requires a driven, ambitious team player who enjoys a challenging, fast-paced environment.
The C# Developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of new and existing financial products in a fast paced environment. Previous experience in C# Web Services and Web Applications is crucial. The ability to interact within a collaborative team is extremely important.

Role Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Design and implementation of high quality, scalable web components in a challenging environment
• Adhere to the full software development cycle including unit testing and code reviews
• Apply best practices and coding standards
• Make use of appropriate design patterns and frameworks
• Maintenance of existing web applications

About you

• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with Development, Product, Implementation, and Operations teams
• Must be able to work within a global organization that spans multiple time zones.

Required Experience:

• IT Degree or Diploma
• Experience with Scrum or agile methodologies
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• C#/ASP.NET 3.5+
• Webforms experience (Currently using Webforms on some applications and moving all to MVC 3.0+)
• VB.Net
• HTML/HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript/JavaScript frameworks (such as jQuery)
• NTier applications
• AJAX
• SOA
• Web Services
• WCF
• SQL 2005/2008/2010/2012
• TFS
• Lucene cache

Advantageous:

• Knowledge or previous experience writing financial software (research/trading/wealth management products)
• Experience with web security concepts
• Exposure to source control systems like Team Foundation Server, svn, Git
• Exposure to tools like Team City and Octopus Deploy
• Previous experience working in an agile environment
