    Senior Recruiter Middle East & Africa

    Job description

    Job Summary

    We are looking for an experienced Senior Recruiter to join our onsite recruitment team. You will be part of a truly global team working across 66 countries in Middle East and Africa. This role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the full life-cycle recruiting processes, activities to include but not limited to: application and interview form completion, negotiation for offers of employment, background checks, reference checks, new hire packets and ensures the information meets established employment requirements.
    • Independently conduct a consultative intake meeting with hiring manager; act as point of contact and subject matter expert for business function supported
    • Utilize applicant tracking system to track and manage all applicants at all stages of the process.
    • Employ appropriate sources, e.g. job boards, colleges, career events, internet sites in the identification of viable applicants; proficient in all aspects of Talent Acquisition
    • Firm understanding of business function, position requirements, marketplace and compensation
    • Develop strategies that promote Ericsson as a Great Place to Work for; maintain a pipeline of resources to help identify a qualified and diverse applicant pool
    • Draft letters of employment; negotiate more complex offers with applicants
    • Recommend specifics of employment offers to hiring managers and influence hiring manager in the identification of qualified applicants, seek feedback, and make hiring recommendation
    • Provide timely updates to hiring manager with information regarding industry trends, marketplace, obstacles, while seeking solutions in partnership with hiring managers
    • Educate and reinforce appropriate expectations to and influence hiring managers, HR and HRBP regarding Talent Acquisition processes.
    • Ensure adherence to corporate expectations, including accurate and compliant record keeping, as well as regulatory compliance requirements
    • Leverage available tools and resources to increase diversity and employ strategies to increase diversity applicant pool
    • Provide mentoring to more junior recruiters
    • Participate and/or lead project teams as needed
    • Develops and monitors reports to communicate activity against productivity on hiring targets
    • Assists the in the management and adherence to team and individual metrics.
    • Adheres to standard operating procedures to ensure process and quality consistency.

    Key Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor degree in Human Resouces or equivalent
    • A minimum of 10 years onsite recruitment experience
    • At least 5 years of experience recruiting across Middle East and Africa
    • Proven track record of external recruitment in the ICT/Telco industry (minimum 5 years)
    • International experience a benefit
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Experience using recruitment systems and tools including ATS, the internet, job boards, social media, etc.
    • Excellent LinkedIn recruiter experience, preferably certified
    • Expert level knowledge in all full life-cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management and due diligence.
    • Negotiation and sales/persuasion skills experience.
    • Recruited for a broad and deep range of positions.
    • Strong results orientation and customer focus.
    • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and manages time effectively.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
