Looking for a Rail Logistics Manager to join a leading Manufacturing company. This is a senior position looking after the group logistics.
This role looks after the operational logistics function in a manufacturing environment dealing with raw materials. Construction/Manufacturing experience is an added advantage. Lead the strategic and operational logistics within the group of companies.

Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to improve on the day to day operations, production and logistics but looking at improving processes and procedures
• Manage a large team of logistics professionals, focussing on the inbound and outbound logistics
• Manage and negotiate SLA’s with third party service providers, ensuring that supplier KPI’s are met
• Conduct feasibility studies, ensure that stock levels are optimized and stock outs are minimized

Requirements:

•     Strictly BCom Degree (Supply Chain/Logistics) Only these candidates will be considered for this multi-functional role
•     5 Years’ experience within operational logistics management role
•     ERP systems experience
•     Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a large staff compliment 100+
