BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary)
The position is responsible for all aspects raw material/inventory warehousing functions for the entire FCC facility and includes the following responsibilities and duties;
- Overall stores management including all raw materials / inventory.
- Ensure effective controls and systems regarding warehousing and inventory management are maintained and complied with across company.
- Supervise the receipt of all materials at FCC and ensuring the procedures followed is within Fine Chemicals Procedures and Policies.
- Ensure timeous supply of raw materials to the production departments according to SOP's and production schedule.
- Management of stock to ensure optimum stock holding.
- Management of recovered solvents in line with company requirements and procedures.
- Ensure the completion a goods received checklist prior to offloading of every delivery of raw materials/solvents.
- Baan Generated Goods to be received note for every receipt of raw materials/solvents.
- Ensure that all receipts and issues of raw materials/solvents are captured on a daily basis on the computer system.
- Forward all necessary documentation to accounts administrator on a daily basis to ensure timeous processing of payment to suppliers.
- Comply with GMP requirements as outlined by company SOP’s and written instructions in all tasks and activities.
- Ensure that all activities are in compliance with the relevant OSHE and FDA guidelines.
- Mentor, lead and manage staff to ensure inter and intra department cohesion and team work, a culture of performance to set standards and compliance to GMP, quality and good corporate governance.

Requirements
- Educational qualification std.10 /grade 12 and/or equivalent as per national qualification framework levels SAQA. (higher will be an advantage).
- Qualification in warehousing and inventory management would be advantageous.
- 2-3 year’s experience in a chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- Must be computer literate, MS Windows, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook Power Point, etc. with a good working knowledge of ERP systems (BAAN preferable).
- Good knowledge of warehousing tools and systems, dispensing, stacking, issuing, FIFO/FEFO, chemical compatibility.
