Key Responsibility Areas:

• Verifies all public tenders submitted for consideration by the Bid Committees and investigate discrepancies.
• Liaises with Divisions where discrepancies are found and prepares memos/reports related thereto.
• Assists and advises emerging contractors / tenders in respect of procurement policy and tender requirements.
• Assists the Tender Officers with the opening of tenders in so far as date stamping of tender forms and initials each page of the tender document and all figures inserted thereon.
• Checks the validity of contract price escalation claims against the contract documents.
• Reports on all discrepancies and extra expense to the Council in respect of the Procurement Policy.

Essential Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent and a certificate in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or Procurement or Accounting or Finance.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 2 Years relevant experience.
• Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Supply Chain Management or Logistic or Procurements or Accounting or Finance.
• 3 Years relevant experience.
