    Videographer

    Job description

    Videographer - (Please note that this position is based in Somerset West, Cape Town)

    The way business software support is delivered has changed from traditional methods which are manual and inefficient to one where Video Production plays a critical role. The purpose of this role is to help us deliver self-service support using best in class videography. More specifically to produce engaging and informative video’s which help users to:

    • Grasp the core concepts of our software.
    • Effectively execute on these concepts.
    • Confidently navigate all features of our software.

    The Videographer will shoot/record and edit videos. The role includes accomplishing all technical tasks related to production and post-production. He or she will maintain, set up, and operate equipment; and assist with staging and set preparation. The videographer will work closely with the CTO and CMO to execute all video production through to completion.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Writing engaging video scripts.
    • Recording informative videos.
    • Recording voice overs.
    • Video Editing.
    • Conducting Ad-hoc IT support functions.

    Specific requirements include:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
    • At least two years of relevant experience.
    • Video production related degree or diploma.
    • Strong People Skills.
    • Computer Literacy.
    • Driver’s license and own transport.
    • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
    • Self-motivated and results oriented.
    • Creative flair and ability to identify aesthetic/ visual appeal.

    Additional responsibilities may include:

    Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics and act as a trusted advisor when it comes to executing on our video production strategy.
