Key Responsibility Areas:

• Oversee Water/Wastewater treatment works staff to maximize their productivity and development.
• Maintaining and compliance with safety requirements.
• Controls the routine operation of the Water/Wastewater Treatment Works processes.
• Maintenance of the wastewater treatment processes and site, to ensure the day to day
• serviceability of plant and equipment required for efficient works and operations and to ensure that the site     properly cleaned and maintained.
• Administration of the Works operating expenditure and control of material on site.
• Attending to and managing visitors and dealing with members of the public organizations and their queries and complaints.

Essential Requirements:

• Option 1: Matric (or NTC III) plus Water or Wastewater Treatment Practise N3.
• Option 2: National Diploma or National Technical Diploma or NTC VI or appropriate NQF 6 Level Qualification
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• Option 1: Class V: 15 years relevant experience
• Option 2: Class V: 6 years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Option 1: B Tech (Advanced Diploma) or 3 years BSc (both in appropriate field).
• Option 2: 4 years BSc (in appropriate field) or NQF Level 8.
• Option 1 CLASS V: 4 years relevant experience.
