Role summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Manager. The Transport Manager will manage the provision of transportation solutions for the client’s employees to and from their place of work.

What this job involves:

• Develop and maintain an employee transportation strategy designed to promote safe, efficient, and cost effective transportation solutions
• Develop schedules and routes which support the clients hours of operation and staff locations
• Contract with and manage appropriate transport providers
•  Carry out market exercises to ensure best value
•  Develop and measure performance against robust service level agreements and key performance indicators
• Create accurate budgets and forecasts for transport solutions based on current and future headcount
• Promote and educate on transport solutions to client’s staff to reduce car usage
• Work with the City of Cape Town as client’s advocate to improve public transportation
• Work with the City of Cape Town and commercial organisations to obtain additional parking as required
• Be the main point of contact for all and any employee interaction with regard to transportation

• Experienced in facilities and administration
• Experience working within a transport provision
• Ability to work independently using own initiative, but also to work effectively as part of team
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to time manage and prioritize workload
• Willingness to learn new skills and systems
• Abe to demonstrate superior people management skills
• Strong communicator
