    Sales Business Analyst

    Job Description

    OVERVIEW

    The primary role of the Business Analyst (SSA) is to support the business with insights and trends “Local and Global’ that will result in a more efficient and proactive sales process, and ultimately drive higher revenue generation.

    KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Experience in querying databases to create multiple reports leading to insights and business opportunities
    • Extract and collate intelligent information from various markets to deliver an accurate Sales forecasts that is supported with key indicators for remedy
    • Analysis of data to provide meaningful insights to benefit the business objectives
    • Supply insights into consumer behaviour and buying and travel patterns using available research data
    • Supply JCDecaux Corporate Office and One-World with accurate Category and Revenue trends required quarterly
    • Source and supply Africa GM’s with local and Regional/Local Economic and Media trends
    • Analysis of economic activity that can support the Development department strategies

    DUTIES

    • Support the Sales and Marketing Director with business analyses that will improve the visibility of opportunities and risks in revenue across all markets.
    • Deliver monthly insights to Sales Heads and General Managers on current and forecasted revenue trends by client category as well as product format (Airports, Gautrain, etc)
    • Proactively look for opportunities and threats to the Revenue line to ensure effective strategies are put in place
    • Research and input required on international trends that will deliver strategic input required for Sales and Development needs
    • Report on International Media and OoH trends
    • Support the Media and Sales departments with relevant case studies on industry trends using global and proprietary research to grow OOH Share of Spend
    • Proactivity participate in the development of systems and software that will support the business (ie SMARTBRICs, Créaction, Automated Buying tools, etc)
    • Participation in Industry research Forums

    Relationship Management

    • Develop relationships internally and externally with the key stakeholders.
    • Assisting the Sales Heads and GM’s to identify opportunities for maximising Adspend and minimising fall off
    • To attend regular team meetings and action issues raised by acting upon minutes taken.
    • Utilise Group Intranet to understand and report on JCDecaux international practice
    • Deliver quarterly KPI’s for direct reports

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    Essential

    • Relevant tertiary diploma in Media Studies or Financial qualification
    • Experience in Analysing data and creating useful reports for management
    • Sound knowledge on international Media Research Tools
    • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office- Above average Excel and Powerpoint

    • Professional with strong analytical ability
    • Innovative and self-motivated; good time-management
    • Thought leadership skills
    • A clean current full driving licence.
