SENIOR MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

TCOE: R646 676 PER ANNUM REF. NO. WS 38/17

Requirements:

• N6 qualifi cation and trade test in Electrical Heavy Current
• Registered as an Installation Electrician with Department of Labour (DOL) (Wireman’s licence, 3-phase)
• 5 years’ experience in an electrical maintenance improvement environment
• Code EB driver’s licence
• Knowledge of electrical design principles
• Computer literacy (MS Offi ce Application and SAP)
• Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (No. 85 of 1993) and Municipal
• Finance Management Act (No. 56 of 2003).

Key performance areas:

• Ensure execution of planned maintenance schedules through regular spot checks and drawing of reports from various electronic applications
• Ensure that accurate monitoring and control systems for the provision of potable water and the collection and treatment of waste water to the City are maintained and upgraded timeously and economically
• Direct and control outcomes associated with utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel within the process control section
• Identify and defi ne the short to medium-term objectives and priorities of the section, encapsulating procurement, expenditure and remuneration control functionalities
• Take charge of all staff skills development, especially the development of Technicians and Artisans.
