    Reward Specialist - EE

    Job description

    Overview

    To contribute to the development, delivery and governance of the Groups Total Reward Strategy by providing comprehensive support and expertise in reward and recognition policies and practices.

    Purpose and Objectives

    • To conduct research and scan for trends, to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace on all elements of total rewards, and recommend adjustments in accordance with market competitiveness and best future practice.
    • To develop and deliver communication strategies that market and convey the understanding and value of the Group’s Total Rewards offerings (including publication of the Group’s Total Reward Statements).
    • To develop labour policies and standards for the business, employment modelling scenarios and payroll costs.
    • To provide specialist reward up skilling and toolkits for HR and Line, to enable them to apply the Group's Reward principles.
    • To develop high quality HR analytics and reports on reward expenditure.
    • To support, manage and maintain the Group’s recognition framework, job evaluation framework and job matrix.
    • To manage the Group’s job evaluation committee and compliance to the job evaluation policy.
    • To administer the Executive Retention Scheme to governance and audit requirements.
    • To prepare and provide RemCo packs and attend Internal RemCom meetings.
    • To prepare package structures for executive pay (E and above) in accordance with Group Reward policies and principles.
    • To support the Group Reward Manager in the development and implementation of new and innovative reward practices.

    Requirements

    EDUCATION

    • Business related degree (Finance, Economics or Statistics) – Essential
    • Global Remuneration Professional Qualification (GRP) - Desirable

    JOB EXPERIENCE

    5 – 7 years relevant experience

    JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE

    • Advanced knowledge of reward practices, pay and industry issues / trends
    • Sound knowledge of labour legislation, King IV, tax and relevant governance codes that influence reward practices
    • Knowledge of Human Resources and payroll functions
    • Job Evaluation principles and methodology including the Hay Guide Chart Methodology

    JOB RELATED SKILLS

    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Methodical approach and high attention to detail
    • Excellent MS Office skills at the advanced level
    • Exposure to reporting and software applications including SAP HCM
    • Strong communication skills
    • Reporting, trend analysis and forecasting skills
    • High degree of integrity, discretion and diplomacy
