Key Responsibility Areas:

• Conceptualises and guides the development and implementation of strategies, research and proposals for contributing to organizational effectiveness.
• Provides a specialist advisory and supervisory service for the assessment function.
• Oversees and conducts research in accordance with guidelines for professional practice of the HPCSA and the Professional Board for Psychology.
• Measures effectiveness and contributes to the improvement to organizational culture/climate.
• Responsible for the strategic direction and control of the employment equity functionality.
• Manages the development of research interventions geared towards the development of strategy and policies to guide and govern the implementation of Employment Equity.
• Provides strategic advice and specialist input where required in order to facilitate appropriate and faster decision making.
• Provides a specialist consultancy service to various stakeholders on the development and implementation of Employment Equity plans and related policies.
• Develops, directs and controls the Municipality’s strategy of Employment Equity.
• Transformation and Compliance performance areas in terms of situational planning for adoption.
• Represents the Municipality in gatherings/ meetings convened by the DoEL and makes contribution on behalf of the Municipality in developing new proposed EE legislation, amendments and recommendations.
• Develops forward plans and strategies the alignment of the functional area capturing the intent and the intended deliverables.
• Controls outcomes associated with utilization and performance of personnel within the function.
• Disseminates functional and operational information of the immediate, short- and long-term objectives and current applications and constraints.
• Planning and preparing capital and operating estimates and controlling expenditure against the approved budget allocations.

Essential Requirements:

• Post graduate qualification (NQF level 9) in Industrial or Organisational Psychology.
• Current registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa as an Industrial or Organisational Psychologist.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 8 years relevant experience in Industrial or Organisational Psychology of which 3 years must be as a registered Industrial or Organisational Psychologist.
• Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

• Post graduate qualification (NQF level 10) in Industrial or Organisational Psychology.
• 9 years relevant experience in Industrial or Organisational Psychology of which 4 years must be as a registered Industrial or Organisational Psychologist.
