Senior IT Auditor at Afrizan Personnel

Job description

One of our leading financial services clients is looking for a Senior IT Auditor to join their expanding team. The incumbent will be responsible for undertaking audit projects and delivering audit results according to plan and the satisfaction of the relevant stakeholders as well as the Supervision, planning and performance of concurrent risk-based IT audit reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Providing assistance with IT audit coverage planning
• Resource planning for multiple audit reviews
• Proficiency in GCR and ACR Reviews.
• Project and IT governance reviews.
• Understanding the business and IT management processes to ensure alignment with IT best practices
• Identifying and confirming key IT risks (including the performance and review of inherent and residual risk assessments)
• Identifying and evaluating IT controls in place to address key IT risks
• Identifying, evaluating and executing IT auditing testing strategies
• Documenting appropriate audit evidence
• Preparing IT audit reports and obtain feedback from senior/executive management
• Recommending control design improvements based on best practice
• Quality Assurance reviews of work performed by junior members of the team
• Supervising, on-the-job training and performance management of staff

Requirements:

• Relevant 3-year degree/diploma with focus on IT / IT auditing e.g. B.Com (Accounting/information systems/computer science) degree
• CISM or CISA and / or Honours Degree in Computer Auditing preferred
• Professional affiliations: ISACA and / or IIA
• Relevant 3-year financial services industry experience within a major organisation
• Relevant 3/4-year IT auditing experience.
• Programming background and experience (i.e., C++ and JAVA)

Technical expertise/ Knowledge:

• Good understanding of professional IT control frameworks, e.g. COBIT5, ITIL v3, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 18001, 2013 COSO Framework, ISACA Risk IT Framework, PAM 15504, ISO 22 302, ISO 31 000, ISO 38 500, TOFAG 9, etc.
• Good understanding of the business and IT management processes, risks and controls
• Proven technical knowledge that is demonstrated in application to specific situations
• Ability to research and apply IT control concepts in audit assignments
• Good written and verbal communication skills
