Key Area of Responsibilities

• To manage and supervise the maintenance of all the digital hardware (screens, routers, players, cabling) portfolio across all trade groups but more specifically within the Gautrain and Airport environments.
• To be involved and supervise the maintenance (including repairs and cleaning) of all static hardware within the Gautrain and Airport environments
• Manage and Supervise the maintenance and digital service technicians on site and supervise and formulate their administrative off site duties
• Supervise, Monitor and maintain all JCDecaux advertising assets including digital and static assets
• Supervise and Manage H&S for team members

Duties

• Supervising and Managing Digital and Maintenance crews
• Monitoring of the digital assets and timeous attendance to repair and/or resolution of faults
• As and when reactive maintenance is required attend to maintenance issues as per policies set out by the Digital Maintenance Manager
• Supervise and conduct proactive and preventative maintenance including on site rebooting and servicing of the digital networks and cleaning of screens and cabinets, as per the digital maintenance polices
• Supervise and conduct all corrective maintenance on digital systems that require immediate attention
• Assist the Digital Maintenance Manager with the construction of new digital assets
• Producing performance reports for all areas of responsibility
• Support the evaluation of new digital innovations from both a maintenance and commercial standpoint
• Ensuring that the Company’s construction, quality and health & safety standards are being implemented and complied with on all sites.
• Supervise the maintenance and cleaning and repairing (possible flighting) of all static billboards and structures
• Work with stores department to ensure Bills of Materials are booked out and delivered on time for all installation and refurbish builds
• To communicate with the office via PDA’s and maintain daily worksheets and placement of requisitions to Stores.
• To supervise the maintenance and the upkeep of company vehicle and that all vehicle related documentation is correctly completed and handed in on time.
• To maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of a company vehicle and to ensure and to be aware of the service requirement of the vehicle and organize the same with the transport department.
• Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of tools and cleaning equipment as required.
• To report any damage or accident.
• To respond to emergency call out as and when required.
• To undertake any additional/ different tasks specified by the supervisor/ manager within your capabilities
• Technicians must wear a company uniform at all times and must ensure that the correct PPE is worn when necessary
• Will be expected to perform all duties of sub-ordinates in the case where sub-ordinates are on leave or absent from duties.
• Manage the permit process to work on site at both Gautrain and ORT

Skills & Qualifications and Requirements

• IT Qualification
• Must have Management and Supervisorial experience
• Full clean driver’s license
• Must be willing to work evenings only (Times to be confirmed 9pm - 5am, Monday to Thursday only)
• Experience in managing digital installations and/or maintenance
• Experience in Managing digital installation and/or maintenance crews
• Comprehensive understanding of a digital network
• Literate and numerate in order to complete the necessary paper work.
• Must be able to undertake heavy lifting duties
• Be able to work at reasonable heights e.g. 20m
• Health & Safety awareness, including knowledge of OHS Act
• Will be required to pass Gautrain and ACSA Health and Safety Testing and meet all necessary Gautrain and ACSA Health and Safety requirements
• Must have basic IT Qualification and have a good understanding of Digital Networks

• Ability to work under pressure and manage and supervise sub-ordinate staff
• Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to manage and supervise a team and work alone where necessary
• Must be able to think out of the box and use initiative
• Reliable, punctual, co‐operative and enthusiastic.
• Flexible approach to work – willingness to travel within Gauteng and possibly nationally.
• Ability to work well and enjoy working in the constantly changing and challenging operations arena.
• Be prepared to work in all weather conditions
• Must be able to undertake reasonable lifting duties
• Must be an adaptable, committed and reliable
• Both PC literate and numerate in order to complete the necessary paper work.
