Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate, reporting to the Group Manager: Supply Chain Management will be responsible for the following:

• Management of IT and master data related projects for SCM, through the review and investigation of data quality between systems, processes and people.
• Assessment of data quality and integrity in the ERP system used as it flows across the business to ensure alignment.
• Focus on master data and SCM IT solutions strategic planning.
• Enhancement of IT infrastructure and SCM modules and technical solutions to enable increased process efficiency, integrated reporting, provision of accurate real time information and enhanced analytical capabilities.
• Development of Data Management Strategies to support SCM as an enabling function.
• Development of training manuals and compile procedure guides for the SCM modules.
• Maintenance material classifications and categorisation with support from the Category sourcing teams.
• Review of master data management processes and making recommendations to ensure they meet business needs.
• Standardisation of data within master data system to ensure data consistency.
• Identification, reporting & improve master data entry problems.
• Initiating proactive data audits to identify any discrepancies, exceptions and inconsistencies.
• Implementation and management of workforce planning to ensure function is suitably staffed to meet strategic functional objectives.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

• Relevant 4-year Bachelor’s Degree
• 4 years’ operational experience supported by 3 years in management is essential
• A good knowledge of SCM Information Management Systems
• Knowledge of PPPFA, PFMA, PAIA and PAJA
• Solid experience in master data management and project management is required.
• Knowledge of Procurement Principles and Practices
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and applicable prescripts
