Financial Analysts play a unique and integral role in driving business decisions, supporting operations and influencing business results.

As a Senior Financial Analyst you are considered to be a trusted business advisor, working within the company's business units and geographies, as well as in a myriad of specialized corporate functions.

Your responsibilities be to:

• Drive and support the achievement of the Global Technology Services (GTS) signings, revenue, profit and cash plans.
• Drive and support a competitive financial model focused on operational efficiency.
• Manage and report financial results with integrity.
• Achieve and maintain satisfactory audit and controls postures for GTS.
• Ensure compliance in line with Business Conduct Guidelines.
• Ensure an appropriately skilled finance and planning resource team is in place to support the GTS SA Finance Organization
• Drive and support the integration of GTS SA Finance into the business and other units and geographies.
• Equip reportees with skills by establishing and delivering finance education models.
• Act with high integrity as a trusted business advisor.
• Focus on cross unit and cross geographic processes to utilize leading practices in technological tools and processes to optimize efficiency.
• Monitor the cash flow management and forecasting the progress against submitted business cases and major investments for IBM.
• Evaluation of financial information for management purposes and controlling of financial processes for business divisions..
• Developing new and effective techniques for financial planning, thereby rendering better service to clients.
• Understanding the latest trends and techniques in the field of financial analysis to prepare periodic accounts, budget reviews and financial forecasts.
• Liaising with other management and professionals to compile budgets.

Desired Skills and Experience

• The analyst will design, prepare, and present analysis of business issues, and recommend solutions to senior management.
• Expertise will be required for:
• revenue & volumes financial analysis/reporting
• services contracts gross profit margin analysis and financial support
• software cost analysis and forecasting
• Revenue analysis and forecasting
• sales, marketing or development expense analysis and forecasting
• balance sheet analysis
• Owning the pension management process
• In case a mistake is found in the bookings or revenue/cost accrual/defferal , DFI file needs to be prepared. Financial Analyst fills in the DFI with correct bookings and attaches this DFI file to new available web tool
• Reporting to WW on cost charges to SWG cost centres monthly and do full cost presentations to WW on the monthly results
• Assist in the charge out of month VFE cost to CoE
