Qualifications:

• An appropriate doctoral level qualification or specialist Masters level qualification.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of academic experience.
• Demonstrated research engagement over the past 3 years.
• Familiarity with distance and online education methodologies.
• Proficiency in using learning management systems.
• Understanding of the South African higher education regulatory framework.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize your expertise in Business Analysis to facilitate academic content and ensure the effective delivery of IT programmes.
• Offer one-on-one academic consultation support to students.
• Design both formative and summative assessments, and provide grading and stakeholder feedback.
• Potentially take on roles such as Head of School, Programme Coordinator, or Module Coordinator.
• Identify at-risk students and provide pastoral care.
• Manage administrative tasks related to programme and quality management.
• Engage in ongoing research and analysis to update and enhance the IT programmes curriculum.
• Collaborate to maintain accreditation with quality assurance and professional bodies.
• Align the curriculum to industry standards and academic relevance through analysis, reporting, and practical application.
• Review and update IT Modules to meet industry norms and international expectations.
• Monitor student academic performance and promote engagement with stakeholders for programme advancement.
• Advocate, promote, and enhance the institution's IT programmes offerings to the industry.
• Design, develop, and maintain teaching and learning materials.

Core Functions Include:

• Membership in various Academic Committees.
• Verification and review of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) applications.
• Verification and review of Credit Accumulation Transfer applications.
