    Accounting Project Manager

    Role Summary:

    The role would suit a finance administrator, project co-ordinator or experienced office administrator demonstrating confidence with project management, number analysis and budgeting. 

    The candidate must also have excellent proven organisational skills, be able to multi-task and have the ability to build strong working relationships.The focus of the Client Account Executive role is to deliver an efficient, high quality and responsive support service on all client engagements, adding value and maximising time for client staff to focus on engagements.

    Qualifications / Certifications required:

    • Grade 12 with English, Maths and Accounting
    • Microsoft office suite experience is essential
    • Project Management Certification/BCom Accounting or Finance-related Degree is advantageous
    • Honours Degree in Finance (advantageous)

    Experience required:

    • Proven office work experience.
    • Project management experience
    • Experience of project management using AGILE or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects

    Responsibilities of role:

    • Financial administration and analysis: including creating client codes, raising invoices, issuing credit notes, chasing debts, keeping financial trackers updated, running/analysing financial reports, budget preparation and working with key stakeholders in order to meet financial targets.
    • Attending internal meetings with senior leaders in order to provide insight into their financial metrics and progress against targets, whilst making recommendations to improve metrics.
    • Coordinating projects with our client facing teams, including our Alternative Delivery Centres.
    • Coordinating engagement and deliverables with the joint auditor and client stakeholders such as Internal Audit.
    • Ensure that client meetings are planned in the diaries and that the agenda is drafted and shared well in advance and then minutes and actions shared right after the meeting. Managing actions till completion
    • Updating and maintaining the Risk, Actions, Issue and Decisions Log
    • Facilitate internal team meetings such as weekly taking stock/huddle meetings, planning meetings, phase review meetings, debrief meetings etc.
    • Drafting and driving the completion of key documentation for review by senior management
    • Coordinating component teams on large complex multinational engagements to ensure that all deadlines are strictly adhered to.
    • Assist  the Engagement Performance and Quality (EPQ) champion with establishing frameworks and protocols in order to ensure that EPQ principles are embedded within the engagement.
    • Coordinate project debriefs and closure to certify best practice and ensure lessons learned are implemented throughout and logged. 

    Skill sets required:

    • Work effectively under pressure with excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise work, especially when there are conflicting demands.
    • Ability to interpret financial data and produce relevant reports.
    • Pragmatic in your approach to problem-solving.
    • Attention to detail and the personal motivation to perform your role to the highest standards.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Always punctual, flexible and responsive in how you approach your work.
    • Experience of managing the complete lifecycle of a project from start to completion.
    • Strong skills in creating and maintaining risks, actions, issues, decisions logs.
    • Successful time management skills, including the ability to manage own time but also the ability to schedule and manage others’ time. 
    • Experience in problem solving by recognising when a problem exists and identifying potential solutions.
