    Agriculturist (Dairy)

    Position Summary

    The main purpose is to provide support and solutions to farmers in their area or district to ensure long term milk supply to Nestle at a competitive price, required quantities and quality taking into considering the environment impact in compliance with all feed and food standards

    A day in the life of
    Agriculturist

    • Manage annual budget of milk quantities and requirements for district and area.
    • Ensure milk composition/solids and loss/gain from farmers are per norm and Nestle requirements
    • Ensure milk quality control as per norm and Nestle manufacturing standards that ensure first time quality
    • Manage Chilling stations, control costs of the milk depots, milk districts and transport density
    • Develop milk district, emerging farmers and build relationships to ensure stable and long-term supply of milk to Nestlé
    • Contribute to SHE: zero lost time injuries through BBSHE and safe operations at the Chilling stations
    • Prevention of environmental impacts by advising farmers on environment friendly farming methods

    What Will Make You Successful

    • A Recognized Degree / Diploma in Agriculture
    • 3 to 5 Years experience in the Dairy Industry
    • Knowledge of milk procurement and costing
    • Milk quality and composition
    • People management skills
    • Technical knowledge of milk production at farm level
    • Organizing and coordination skills
    • Manage Dairy Study groups
