A prominent global investment firm that specialises in private equity is expanding its operations into South Africa. They are currently in search of an Analyst to join their team specifically focused on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). As a member of a globally distributed team spanning South Africa, New York, and London, you will be required to develop specialized knowledge in the field of Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLOs). Your responsibilities will include monitoring daily operational aspects, conducting weekly and monthly reconciliations, managing complex transactions, and engaging in modeling activities.
Key Qualifications:
CA(SA) / CFA / BCom (Hons) Finance
1-2 years post-qualification experience in an Investment operations environment
Fund Administration and Management experience
Proficiency in MS Excel
Responsibilities:
Perform reconciliations between monthly Trustee reports and quarterly Note Valuation reports, ensuring alignment with internal systems and resolving any discrepancies related to collateral, compliance tests, and transactions.
Provide assistance in interpreting and applying complex transaction documentation, such as calculating and modeling waterfall payments, management fees, and understanding ISDA implications, covenant guidelines, and restrictions.
Review and interpret portfolio legal documents in collaboration with various parties, including underwriters, counsel, and rating agencies.
Forecast fund income, expenses, accruals, and investor returns for upcoming quarterly payment dates.
Ensure that portfolio trades and restructures comply with the legal requirements of the portfolio.
Assist in daily, weekly, and quarterly reporting related to rating reconciliation and Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) Net Asset Value (NAV).
Aid in responding to Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) requests pertaining to CLOs and financings from investors and internal portfolio management.
Maintain data within internal systems such as WSOWeb and Moody's Compliance.
Utilise various systems in the role, including WSOWeb, Moodys Compliance, Moody's ratings website, S&P Capital IQ website, Fitch ratings website, and ClearPar.
