Job Description

• Provide electrical support service for the organization to achieve its’ targets
• Investigate and recommend any improvements in systems or processes
• Strict compliance with all statutory requirements & guidelines
• Deliver quality workmanship to prevent equipment failure
• Utilize problem solving techniques to address failures so as to ensure no repeats
• Equipment breakdowns are efficiently attended to
• Maintenance checks done to schedule and accurately recorded
• Play an active role in the team, contribute positively to the performance of the team and attainment of performance objectives
• Apply Foundation Practices to optimize efficiencies and drive down waste
• Provide an efficient service to the various production departments for repairs.
• Carry out audit service on all electronic and electrical equipment under his control according to laid down standards.
• Audit all preventative maintenance done on all electronic and electrical equipment under his control.
• Inform electrical technician daily of any lost time occurred on any machine in the plant.
• Ensure all reasonable requests are carried out without delay.
• Do shift work and overtime as and when required within reason.
• Ensure that high standard of workmanship is maintained.

Job Requirements

• Grade 12 
• Qualified Electronic / Maintenance Electrician with at least N2 and relevant trade test
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG)
• Be a qualified artisan in the electrical field with a minimum of N2
• Have 5 years exposure to the FMCG Processes
• Electrical problem solving and diagnostic experience
• Experience in high speed production equipment
• Experience on AC drives (Danfoss, Siemens)
• Oven combustion (Gas) and temp control experience
• High speed Inspection Systems Experience (Cameras)
• Hard wire and relay logic fault finding
• Good people relationships and communication at different levels
• Be self-motivated team player with a  high level of commitment and drive
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
