Artisan Plumber X2 at SITA SOC (Ltd)

Purpose of the job

• Responsible for installing, inspecting and repairing pipes and plumbing systems to make sure all of a building’s fixtures operate correctly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 1 - 2 year National Higher Certificate in a relevant discipline / NQF level 5 or accredited specialised courses.
• Experience: 2-3 years’ experience applicable to the specified discipline
• Understand the basic theoretical reasoning and detailed practical applications behind the process or system.

Technical Competencies Description

• Knowledge of: Accessing Confined Spaces Applying Adhesives, Sealants, and Caulk Cleaning Sewer Lines
• Hand and Arm Strength Installing Appliances
• Installing Water and sewage pipes
• Manual Dexterity
• Precision
• Tolerating
• Dangerous, Noisy, or Unpleasant Working Conditions Using Soldering Techniques
• Utilizing Tools to Assemble Components
• Welding
• Extensive knowledge of trade practices and plumbing codes.
