The Gauteng Department of Education is a provincial government department under the Gauteng Provincial Government responsible for overseeing and regulating the basic education system in the Gauteng province of South Africa in accordance with the South African Schools Act of 1996
An appropriate, recognised three-year National Diploma/ Degree (NQF 6/7) in Labour Relations/ Human Resource Management/LLB/Labour Law plus a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in Labour Relations at a supervisory level and or at a post equivalent to salary level 8/7).
Knowledge of legislations which include but not limited to: LRA; Employment of Educators Act; EEA; PSA; PSR; BCEA; SDA; COIDA; SASA. Knowledge of Collective agreements concluded at PSCBC; GPSSBC and ELRC.
Duties :
Implement policy regarding disciplinary enquiries. Facilitate the resolution of dispute and grievances, as well as ensuring sound Employment Relations. Promote efficient labour relations policies. Maintain labour peace within the organization.
