Assistant Professional Office - Technical Services
A 4-year tertiary qualification in Water or Environmental Management (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biology or Water and Wastewater related field).
MSc or PhD Degree will be an advantage.
A minimum of 1 year relevant experience is required as per KPA’s.
1 to 2 years’ experience in ISO17025 accredited water laboratory
Registered or eligible immediately to register with SACNASP.
A valid Code B driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
Conduct scientific research including physical, chemical, microbiological and hydro biological analysis on drinking water, environmental waters, seawater, sewerage industrial effluents, groundwater, swimming baths, boreholes, landfill leachates as well as air quality monitoring.
Conduct sample analysis on different water matrices and perform validation
Conduct data analysis and generate technical reports.
Conducts site visits/field analysis and conduct sampling when required.
Ensure that the monitoring stations are run according to the adopted quality system using US EPA methods for Ambient Air Quality Monitoring.
Assist with the implementation of the quality management system of the laboratory.
