Requirements
The requirements for this position are:
A suitable professional teaching qualification
A sound and progressive understanding of the South African curriculum and international trends in education
An excellent teacher who can engage and inspire young boys creatively whilst understanding the considerable part all teachers play in supporting children emotionally, and the significant link this has to academic achievement.
Relevant experience in teaching IT within a preparatory school environment
A commitment to accommodate students with diverse backgrounds, preferences, cultures, and association
A willingness to embrace rapid changes in education, a sound knowledge of current trends, experience in or an understanding of Inquiry-based learning and STEAM would be an advantage
The willingness to be involved in and offer insights into the development of our curriculum in the areas of Coding & Robotics
A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities, and pastoral approach.
Ability to foster and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders
