    Brand Manager

    SMD Technologies, the home of Volkano is looking for a strong junior brand manager to assist in the management of three of our new and fastest growing brands. The role of the brand manager would involve overseeing a wide array of business functions including sales, developing communication channels, training of sales teams, product development, promotions, and market research.

    Roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Conduct consumer and market research
    • Identify how our brand is currently positioned in the market
    • Develop varying strategies to address segmented customer needs based on their progress on the adoption curve, defend the existing customer base and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Test new strategies for driving customer value
    • Performance monitoring, outlier diagnosis and management
    • Champion opportunities to consistently improve the “Brand” experience
    • Drive customer retention, and switch from competitor brands
    • Map the customer journey and identify opportunities to proactively intervene on the client's behalf
    • Develop listening points in the customer journey, define and segment the customer base.
    • Develop and implement customer experience strategies,
    • Reviewing and pulling insights from analytics and data. Segmenting customers and audiences into meaningful groups
    • Using insights from data to make improvements, maintain the feedback loop flow, and predict future needs and problems. Anticipate consumer trends and keep brand up to date
    • Team alignment and collaboration to deliver on customer experience objectives. Communicate our brand personality internally and align company around foundational ideas
    • Brand blueprint/DNA ownership and maintenance
    • Effective execution of customer experience strategy: Define objectives, develop hypotheses, establish a method of execution, implement, monitor, and iterate based on customer experience and response.
    • New representative brand onboarding
    • Training on key sales points on product ranges

    Requirements:

    • Digital and social media marketing insights advantageous

    Required qualifications:

    • Degree in Marketing or Sales
    • Any other relevant degree

    Desired experience:

    • 2 – 3 years relevant working experience
