    Business Development Specialist - Insurance

    Job Objectives    

    • Building relationships with internal (stores) and external (mostly OUTsurance) stakeholders.
    • Providing input and developing SLAs and NDAs for potential new business opportunities.
    • Driving revenue growth of the Joint Venture with OUTsurance.
    • Collaborating with OUTsurance on the development, testing, training, sale and marketing of their insurance products.
    • Preparing and disseminating various daily, weekly and monthly communications to various stakeholder. internal and external stakeholders including store, contact centre and regional/divisional contact points.
    • Providing input and developing budget forecasts and actuals.
    • Participating in developing and distributing various Reports.
    • Providing input to marketing campaigns (planning, approval of artwork/scripts, roll-out).
    • Directing customer queries to the appropriate team and following up to verify resolution.
    • Drive compliance adherence of stores and OUTsurance staff (product/service-related).
    • Supporting resourcing and capacity requirements: recruitment, people logistics, general conduct and adherence to policies and procedures, performance, scheduling and planning (WFM)
    • Participate in content development and effective training delivery.

    Qualifications    

    • Diploma or degree in Business, Sales, Finance or equivalent

    Experience    

    • +2 years’ experience in an operational sales, finance, training and/or data analyst capacity within the banking and/or FMCG, retail sector or equivalent.
    • Track record of driving operations to identify sales targets, monitor performance and devise improvement strategies.
    • Potential to support various stakeholders across operations with demonstrable organisational skills, diplomacy, writing and presentation abilities to reach a variety of audiences.

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Resilient, able to work in a fast-paced environment with a proven track record to lead multiple competing tasks, demands and priorities with a service orientated, 'fixer’ mentality and a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets.
    • Financial services (Insurance) analytical knowledge, including experience working with analytical models, with a demonstrated ability to extract appropriate data to convey information and financial analysis through the use of supporting tables, graphs and other visual representations.

    This role is based in Home Office – Brackenfell, Cape Town. Some travel and store visits will be required.
