    Camera Operator - MultiChoice City

    Purpose of the Position:

    • To ensure that camera outputs in a Studio are delivered in line with the required Broadcasting standards to the viewer.

    Technical Operations

    • Ensure that camera shots are in line with Studio production standards practice
    • Build and maintain relationships with all production stakeholders
    • Deliver camera output in line with the different sporting codes
    • Implement camera shots according to Director instructions
    • Operate Studio camera equipment
    • Ensure excellent quality and efficient service through extensive sport knowledge and technical skills
    • Equipment Maintenance

    Professional Conduct

    • Effective management of personal schedules
    • Ensure compliance to all internal governance through adherence to the policies and procedures of the company during productions

    Communication

    • Ensure effective written and verbal (email and cellphone) communication with relevant production stakeholders

    Self-Development

    • Take initiative to improve technical skills that would be to the advantage of the department and keep abreast of emerging industry related trends
    • First line maintenance of camera equipment
    • Rig and test equipment and facilities according to SOP for Studio production
    • Assess risk and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate
    • Identify and report equipment fault
    • De rig equipment and facilities according to SOP upon completion of Studio production

    Qualifications Essentials:

    • Diploma in Television Broadcasting/ Media Studies
    • Drivers’ License EB

    Qualifications Preferred:

    • Degree Advantageous

    Experience

    • A minimum of 3-5 years Camera Operations experience in a recorded sport and/ or variety Studio environment
    • Computer Literacy
    • Conducting technical skill level Assessments
    • Equipment competency
    • Ability to work under pressure/tight deadlines
