National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or higher in Secretarial Studies, Office Management. Public Administration, Business Management, or related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a public institution research environment, or higher education sector, with proven knowledge of administrative and financial systems.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management systems.
Recommendations
Experience working in research institutions, NGOs, or the water/environment sectors.
Knowledge of project management tools.
Familiarity with procurement and logistics processes.
Additional language skills relevant to the Northern Cape region.
Duties and responsibilities
Oversees and coordinates all administrative operations of the Center.
Provide executive support to the Centre Director, including diary management, documentation and reports.
Coordination events, workshops, and other research-related activities.
Management of procurement processes in compliance with university policies.
Monitor budget and assist with financial reporting in collaboration with relevant university departments and funders.
Liaise with internal and external collaborators and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Handling internal and external communication, including emails, phone calls, and stakeholder inquiries.
Support grant and project administration, including documentation and compliance.
Ensure the office, center laboratories, supplies, and equipment are well maintained.
